For future reference, it would help if you mentioned up front which Affinity app you were using. Just saying "latest update" as you have done here doesn't tell us if you meant you were trying to do this in Affinity Photo or Affinity Designer. Also note that with the file open in either AP or AD, you can use File > Edit in... to switch to APu without having to close the file.
