DiWi
Hi, in version 2.11 of pulisher it is no longer possible to enter a whole word in the fields of autocorrection. Only a single character can be entered in both fields. Could this be corrected? And perhaps: Is it possible to enter the autocorrection in the right click menu to enter it more easily in the workflow? Thanks Dieter

I can sometimes get two characters but that’s not much better; I’d say that this is a bug and should be reported in the relevant forum section. 14 minutes ago, DiWi said: Is it possible to enter the autocorrection in the right click menu to enter it more easily in the workflow? I’d say that should probably be something for a Feature Request in the relevant forum section.
walt.farrell
What's happening is that when you start typing in the fields, they are being automatically selected. So, you type 1 character, and it becomes selected. Typing another then replaces that first character. Workaround: Type a character, then click after it. Type another, then click after it. Etc. Definitely looks like a bug. Dan C
Thanks for your report @DiWi, just to let you know I've moved this thread to the Windows bug section of the Forums - as I'm unable to replicate this issue on macOS or iPad currently. However I am seeing the same incorrect behaviour Walt has shown in his screen recording above and therefore I am getting this logged with our developers now. I hope this helps walt.farrell

Staff Affinity Info Bot Posted August 11, 2023 Staff Share Posted August 11, 2023 The issue "Settings > Autocorrect auto selects the first character typed, meaning further characters overwrite and you cannot type a full word" (REF: AFB-8010) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.2.0.1951". This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release. Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions. If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us. Unfortunately after filling the Text in the left field of autocorrect and clicking on the right field for the correct version the text in the left field disapperars. The same occurs when filling the right field an clicking on the left one.

Staff Gabe Posted August 16, 2023 Staff Share Posted August 16, 2023 Thanks. Issue logged. It does add it to the list correctly, it just hides the value in the field when you change focus.

I haven't edited my autocorrect list in a while but I just noticed I can't tab between the Replace and With fields in 2.1.1 or 2.2 1954 - I can in 1.10.6. I'm pretty sure that tabbing was possible in 2.0 as I re-created my autocorrect list for v2.
