I have affinity photo 2 and am trying to open my .Gpr raw file from my hero 10 black but affinity seems to not recognize it. Serif labs states that hero 10 raw is supported. Am I missing something? My go pro has the .Gpr and .jpeg file side by side, Gpr file is smaller in size compared to the jpeg which doesn’t make sense unless the go pro does something special and embeds the Gpr file into the jpeg? Surly not.

Can you upload one of your .gpr files to the forum?

Are you on Mac and using Apple Core Image RAW, if so change over to Serif RAW.

File seems valid, so not sure why it does not open.

Hopefully a member of support will be able to advise you further

Why should I have to convert it to DNG when Serif labs says it supports go hero 10?

David did not say you had to. He just provided a workaround until they get a bug fixed if it in fact exists. It may take months and sometimes a long time for Serif to get certain bugs fixed. I guess you could not use the workaround and just wait.. IDK, it's your choice. ;)

The current stable and beta releases will not open your GoPro file.

Thank you for the update. Do we have a timeframe when we could expect a fix?

We don't typically provide timescales as I can't confirm how long the development and testing cycles will take, apologies.

The issue ".GPR (GoPro RAW) files fail to open with 'File Type Not Supported' error" (REF: AFP-5860) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.1.0.1728".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
