To the best of my knowledge, and for whatever reason, Apple has no way to import vectors into its Motion Application.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

I think the way to do it is either an AI file or PDF but the results can be a bit clumsy and it may take a bit of trial and error to get vectors into Motion correctly.

Screenshot of Apples Motion app, the instagram icon was exported from Affinity Designer v2 as a PDF for export, under the more settings I unchecked rasterise: and set it to Nothing.

I got Apple Motion, too. And my friend and I need to export our vector design into Apple Motion.
I know Pixelmator Pro can export Apple Motion files, but I work with Affinity Designer. I hope this feature comes to Affinity Designer very soon.

I agree! I know Apple Motion isn't a big app for many people but it IS a viable alternative to After Effects and having  Designer save to Motion project as Pixelmator does would be amazing and really improve my workflow.
