Staff Ash Posted February 8, 2023 Staff Posted February 8, 2023 Apps: Photo (and Photo Persona of Publisher) Platforms: Windows and macOS The Mask to below function, previously only available from the right-click menu in the Layers panel, has now been added to the top Layer menu. This was requested primarily so that a shortcut could be assigned if desired. lepr Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Thanks for the addition. Surprised that Designer didn't get the same. Would be just as useful there. GRAFKOM 1 Quote
GRAFKOM Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 I also don't understand why this hasn't been added to Publisher and Designer Persona of Publisher lepr 1 Quote
parusdesign Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Why isn't this added in Affinity Designer? Why limit that to only Photo? I need it mainly for Designer. Quote
Staff Ash Posted February 16, 2023 Author Staff Posted February 16, 2023 Think that's fair comment, we'll add it to Designer and Publisher too GRAFKOM, Jays, Alfred and 5 others 4 4 Quote Managing Director Help make our apps better by joining our beta program! JhonatanS Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Hi @Ash I was wondering a long time ago, but I didn't get a chance to request about this, How complex is to make have a function that can apply Pixel or Vector inside the Compound? I have some complex shapes that I wish that I could paint inside, but at the moment the Compound Path ignore that, so ended up converting to Curves to apply. Here is an example fo the desirable result: I'm using a lot of Compound Paths to build shapes in many characters, a way to paint inside or add vector clipping that ignore the Compound - Would be a nice improvement for the compound functions. Staff Ash Posted March 3, 2023 Author Staff Posted March 3, 2023 hi Jhon - sorry, just noticed this and realised I didn't reply. That's a good shout - though it's not completely trivial I don't think in terms of the best way for us to achieve / expose that without our layer structure. We'll give it some thought for a future update. _Th and JhonatanS 1 1 Quote Managing Director Help make our apps better by joining our beta program!
