"so I can purchase this" - Personally, I would buy applications while there is a good offer, and with installation I would possibly wait for a declared update with the availability of installation using MSI.

But I already purchased Affinity Photo.

There is no readon for me to buy this (I want to) unless the installer makes sense.

This is an upgrade only if I can install and override the previous software that works great.

The V2 apps do not overwrite the V1 versions & both can be used independently of each other. Just be aware that any V1 documents edited & saved in V2 can no longer be opened in V1 (no backwards compatibility) so if you are planning on using both, make sure that you work on a copy in V2.

I have noticed Serif has a new, plain, very easy to understand warning just for this. There is a box where you can check to Not show the warning again. IMHO, only a fool would check that box. :)

Yes, that is something that was lacking from the V2.0 releases that got fixed in the 2.0.3 ones.

That said, I think it would be better if the dialog also had an 'open as copy' option to open an unnamed copy of the file.

Or "SaveAs" button for immediate execution of what is recommended in the warning dialog.

I really want to buy this I don’t want to have two applications

Sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by "two applications". Can you explain that a bit?

I've posted unsandboxed 2.0.3 exe installs here to test if you'd like to try that.

And shortly we will post to the official thread when 2.0.4 is ready, and that will be the first official release.

The Unsandboxed (MSI/EXE) Windows installs are now available to all. Sorry this took longer than we expected.
