You still have to create a useless pixel layer to merge visible if the top layer is an adjustment.

This is worse than the Devil!

Okay, not quite, but still, I vote for it to be fixed next update. :)

I get mixed results if I try Merge Visible from the layers menu.

But if I right click over the top layer (adjustment layer), Merge Visible works.

How could anyone point this out when it's a newly added feature?

Is it a newly added feature? I thought it was just that I was clicking in the wrong place all along.

I'm not sure if this is a newly added feature or just an oversight because in AP V1 it does not matter if I right-click on the thumbnail or the text -- either way I get the full menu.

It's not just that you're being annoying, but you're creating unnecessary complications for forum administrators and other users - as stated in the forum rules.

Try the thumb/icon of the adjustment layer.

Works fine on my Mac in V1 -- I get the same full menu that I do if I right-click instead on the text. For me, it just in V2 that I have to right-click on the text.

How does anything from V1 relate to the 2.0.0 to 2.0.3 update discussion?

You may not have noticed, but the topic of discussion is about the availability of the Merge Visible command in context menu of the Adjustments layers. Which would be more apparent and understandable if this discussion continued in the original thread.

It depends on the position of the adjustments/filters layer to the clipping/masking position.

The OP asked about the situation where the top layer is an adjustment -- IOW, not nested. In V1 I do not have to click on the text  of the adjustment layer -- I can click on the thumbnail as well. This is not the same as in V2.

It relates to whether or not this is an intended new feature in V2 or if it is an oversight or a bug.

new feature in V2

Since you apparently again do not understand the context of the discussion and the respective reactions, my mention of "feature addition" referred to the addition to update 2.0.3 compared to the previous version 2.0.0, not addition V2 compared to V1 (which was not even discussed here).

AFAIK, this 'feature' was added to 2.0.0 & unchanged in v2.0.3, so I do not understand what you are comparing about v2.0.0 vs. v2.0.3.

Regardless, my context was comparing this behavior to the behavior in V1, in that I believe it to be a possible bug or oversight in V2.

Hi @nickbatz just to confirm - in version 2.0.0 (Win) the Adjustments layer context menu did not contain Merge commands.
image.png.9933e8d9efb30b7c94e3d6a6b6ab063b.png

Unlike the Pixel layer.
image.png.a5ca639dd3d65b7fc9b54d074a8e2652.png

So, in update 2.0.3, the context menu for Adjustments layer was added with the command Merge Visible.

For information, in version 2.0.0 the context menu invoked on Layer Thumbnail or Layer name/text was identical.
So different context menus (short vs full) depending on where they are invoked (thumbnail vs description) are new in update 2.0.3.
