No info is ever included in a beta update, this is why the developers include it in their post:

I think he means there is no update notification? I normally let the betas run for a few days before adding the update notification, in order to do a gradual roll out.

It varies depending on the initial response. There's a bug with some graphics tablets (Wacom, etc) at the minute, so I'm hesitant to roll it out to everyone.

Ye, this makes sense. Although last time I reported it, it was actually a bug, so maybe some small note in rel notes if it should be visible in the application update check or not.
