Hi everyone!

For the Dev Team, and specially, for @AdamW

EDIT: I noticed I posted this in the wrong Forum. 😳

I was thinking about this today. What about some changes so that the current Page is more noticeable in the Pages Panel? For example, when selecting an object in the Layers Panel, it's highlighted like this:

Now, when we click on a Page, it's highlighted but it's not necessarily the same Page that you are seeing in the main area of the Window (Page 1 is the current Page but Page 6 is highlighted). I think there should be more distinction, and I think that the blue highlight should show the current Page.

  • Current look

  • Mockup look (ignore that I didin't add the Page Name...)

This also applies to the Navigator in the bottom left part of the Window, because if you move through Objects in the Layers Panel, you see the Highlight (as seen in the attached Video). I think is nicer to the eyes if the same happens in the Pages Panel, using said Navigator.

Best regards!

I like the idea of better highlighting. I'll point out that in your mockup you've also interchanged the meaning of the blue and gray highlights. That might prove confusing for users who have become familiar with the meanings of those highlights in the current implementation. However, your approach is more consistent with the way the rest of the Affinity suite works :)

For me, the way it is right now is confusing, because of the way it works in the Layers Panel.
