  1. Where are the controls to enlarge my tools icon sizes? I can't find it anywhere, and because I am a Senior (older) person, the tool icons are so small they are difficult for me to read and understand. I have attached an image of the tools I am talking about.

    Icon Pack

Hi I just made the switch to Affinity and I have to say other than the lack of Image Tracing I am loving it. I immediately fell for the Asset panel and started looking for Icons. I found this post from a few of years ago: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/29075-icon-pack/ I like the packs, albeit a little out of date in 2021. However, I didn't like that they were all split into multiple files and that you can't merge categories. I decided I wanted to remake the pack, but I had no desire to painstakingly go through and name each SVG. So I created an application that reads individual SVG icons and merges them to a single file. I provide a colour change option so you can pick colours best suited for both Dark and Light themes. Due to how this application works it will only work on Icon and will not convert complex multi-path SVGs. Here is the application https://gcoulby.github.io/affinity-sprite-sheet-generator/index.html and here is a link to the repository (including basic documentation https://github.com/gcoulby/affinity-sprite-sheet-generator) I have also included the asset pack which contains the same set of Icons (sans Gnome icons, which no longer exist) posted by @helmuthdu but they are contained into a single asset with subcategories Entypo+: https://github.com/chancancode/entypo-plus FontAwesome: http://fontawesome.io/ Foundation: https://github.com/zurb/foundation-icon-fonts Game Icons: http://game-icons.net Hawcons: http://hawcons.com/ Icomoon: https://icomoon.io/icons-icomoon.html Ionic Icons: https://github.com/driftyco/ionicons Material Design Icons: https://materialdesignicons.com Material Icons: https://github.com/google/material-design-icons Typicons: http://www.typicons.com/ icon_pack.afassets
  3. Hi I just want to share some icon assets i made using free icons. Included in this pack. All icons are searchable. Entypo+: https://github.com/chancancode/entypo-plus FontAwesome: http://fontawesome.io/ Foundation: https://github.com/zurb/foundation-icon-fonts Game Icons: http://game-icons.net Gnome Symbolic Icons: https://github.com/GNOME/gnome-icon-theme-symbolic Hawcons: http://hawcons.com/ Icomoon: https://icomoon.io/icons-icomoon.html Ionic Icons: https://github.com/driftyco/ionicons Material Design Icons: https://materialdesignicons.com Material Icons: https://github.com/google/material-design-icons Typicons: http://www.typicons.com/ Greetings, v2.1.0 (07/10/2017) Updated Game Icons, Hawcons, iconsmoon & Material Design Icons to the latest version; Bonus: added a Golden Ratio Asset; v2.0.0 Changed default icon color; Fixed wrong material icons symbols; Added Entypo+, Icomoon and Typicons; Updated Material Design Icons; Download: icons_pack.zip
  4. Just learning about the assets panel. Started testing it out. Transferred over a bunch of SM icons from AI to create this asset for AD. Added in case anyone has a use. Curious if anyone else has any asset compilations of useful parts they would like to share Social Media Icons.zip
  5. Hello amazing people! Adobe does this, in Illustrator desktop… I’m getting older, and working on a smaller iPad… it would be truly great if Affinity would consider a way to do this and enlarge the UI/icons/interface, to some extent. I find it’s difficult to see, but also repeatedly missing when selecting certain UI functions. Is this a possibility on iPad??
  6. Hey guys, here's my latest Affinity Designer masterpiece! Took me a few month to get all the icons done, but in the end, the result was worth it. What's this all about, you may ask? It is a minimalist icon pack designed in a retro style that works perfectly on your Windows taskbar or Dock. As you can see from the preview, the main idea is to use generic icons for various app categories without using specific app logos or icons (with some exceptions like the Browsers, Adobe Suite, Affinity Apps and Microsoft Office). Instead, the icons illustrate the actual purpose of the app using familiar design elements. For example, if you're a content creator, you will find different creative icons for your video or music editing apps. The same goes for gaming, where you have a bunch of icons for your gaming platforms to choose from. The icon pack currently includes the following app categories: Internet Browsers, File Managers, Audio Players, Video Players, DJ-ing Apps, Email Apps, Adobe Suite, Affinity Suite, Microsoft Office, Painting Apps, Vector Apps, 3D Apps, Video Editors, Music Production Apps, Code Editors, IM Apps, Gaming Platforms, Torrent Apps, Image Viewers, Calendar Apps, FTP Clients, Archiving Apps, Notes-ToDo Apps, Book Readers, Trading Apps, and Windows System Apps (Task Manager, Terminal, Calculator, Notepad, Settings). You can download a demo of the icon pack on deviantArt or get the full version on gumroad. Enjoy

  8. I miss some features when creating icons for websites: Ability to set CSS classes or option to use the layer name as class instead of id Option to save SVGs with style attributes instead of inline CSS (then you don't have to use "!important" all over the place to change colors) Don't write a "rect" element in SVGs for the artboard if the artboard has no background color Option to automatically round artboard position and size because decimals led to weird problems for me in the past (like the exported file having the wrong size because the position was a decimal) Option to optimize SVGs. I use SVGO at the moment but it's not easy to set it up so that it preserves IDs or classes
  9. Hey everyone, I am using Affinity Design for designing icons on Windows 10. When I'm finished I am exporting them to an svg. My Problem is, that it seems the objects move at some points a little bit or the border of objects gets streched. Maybe you can spot the differences at this simple icon. Icon in Editor: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1blrVFYoml01-97CSZWnUMNkC8Fx1y8PA/view?usp=sharing Icon after render: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iv7ObpwQ5C6ABQKzkC9nM90Plw2xQLDM/view?usp=sharing Only a few mistakes marked How can I fix this? Do I use a wrong resolution or generall wrong render settings? Best regards, Filip.
  10. Hello, I have encountered with several different small/tiny icons: -Eyedropper in toolbar -Switch color (in all places) -Change color to translucent (in all places) MacOS 10.15.5 (19F101) Affinity Photo 1.9.0 Note, as I understand, Eyedropper is fixed in beta, not sure how it is about the other icons. I am attaching screenshot.
  11. The eyedropper icon is extremely small macOS Catalina 10.15.7, Photo 1.9
  12. After the 1.9 release I noticed a discrepancy between the Affinity icons on the Mac dock. Designer and Publisher have hard edge squares and photo has rounded edges like the iPad OS icon. Is this intentional? Am I crazy for noticing this? (My Designer and Photo are Mac App Store versions while Publisher is purchased from Affinity website if that matters.)
  13. Hi, there! Hope you guys are doing great. Well, long time ago I became a fan of the Oxygen Icon Pack, made for the KDE 4.0 Desktop. Sadly, it's no longer in use by the KDE Team, but its style is still one of my favorites. Now, according to this: Anyone may, and is encouraged to, use Oxygen Icons in their applications, websites and physical artwork. Modification is also allowed. The only restriction is that you can not restrict what others then do with the artwork. The icons are under the GNU Lesser General Public License You can use them as long as you give credit and point to the KDE Website. Also, if icons have been modified, you should also provide a link so that they can be downloaded, making it clear they are under the LGPLv3. So, what I did was to open all the Icons and saved them in AFDESIGN format (the icons were downloaded originally in SVG and SVGZ formats, Inkscape helped a lot), and I uploaded them here. (I also plan on including the SVG file exported from Designer, but I had trouble with some of the icons that's why I keep them in AFDESIGN). Hope you like the pack if you didn't knew it. Best regards! P. S. 1: If anyone is aware of any restriction that may apply, please let me know. P. S. 2: Some missing fonts: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Oxygen https://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/bitstream-vera-sans https://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/luxi-sans

  18. Hello, guys! Just a quick post to share with you a template for designing iOS App icons. Icons come in different sizes and done with the last angle for corners set by Apple. The icons are symbols so you can see changes quickle on all of them. Hope this be useful! Best regards! Template - iOS Icons - Share.afdesign
  19. They used to be so colourful but with Version 1.8.3.641 they are now all grey on Windows 7. I'd like them properly coloured please. I hope this doesn't mean that we ols OS users haven't been abandoned like Microsoft has.
  20. I was hit with inspiration to make these. I have a group of city icons as well, like Boston, Montreal, Prague... I t was fun to do and helped me learn more skills in Designer and how to get the most out of the app.
  21. Good day to all. I am a new user of Affinity products. The capabilities of these programs are really impressive. I work as a 3D illustrator. Most of all I was struck by working in Linear Color Space, as well as opportunities. I want to say thank you very much for the work done. These are really very worthy products! I have only one wish. Please consider adding the ability to change the UI Scale interface. Unfortunately, now the icons are very small, and the shape is also very difficult to recognize. It would be great! Thank you very much! You are the best!
  22. Hey everyone, so I found those templates to export iOS icons and another document for Android apps. Since, we are developing an app in Flutter, this document is perfect fit. So I created a template doing both at the same time. Enjoy it. Follow instructions in the document and please write a comment for any bug / suggestion. App Icon Exporter - v1.afdesign
  23. In case any might find them useful, attached are folder icons for each program. Included are Windows *.ico files, as well as *.png files. Affinity folder icons.zip
  24. If you're designing an iOS app icon, you can use this template to export the 18 different icon sizes required by Apple named according to Apple’s guidelines. To get started, edit the Icon symbol on the App Icon layer. When you are ready to export, switch to the Export Persona and click the Export Slices button. Make sure to disable the mask layers before you export – icons should be exported as square images. You can download the latest version on my website. Thanks for looking!
