Hi, Since I became a User of Affinity products, in particular PHOTO, I have been asking BOTH Serif Affinity and Filter Forge( FF) to have FF compatible with Affiny Photo. Others have also asked too. Filter Forge are HAPPY to Oblige, but sttae that they are not hetting responses form Affinity.. e.g. QUOTE from FF in response to a FF user on the Official FF Face Book Page:- Hi Bill, honestly, we'll be able to make this fix if Serif will give us their licenses. We've contacted them long ago and still don't have Affinity licenses. If you can contact them with this, we'll be very grateful to you. I have also posted on the FF Facebook page, in there Affinity Forums and also in the Affinity Designer and Photo FB page... so, PLEASE could someone from Affinity contact Filter Fporge and get this ball rolling! I believe that some FF users may be interested in AP and and vice versa. What is the problem please? I am happy to do what i can to help all you guys out on this. one................... Thank You. 1.5.1.47 Beta -- Running the Photoshop plugin, Plugin Galaxy, a second time in an editing session generates an error message: Memory Access Violation. 1. In an open image, call Plugin Galaxy via the plugin menu. Select a plugin setting, apply, closing Plugin Galaxy. 2. Call Plugin Galaxy a second time, the "Memory Access Violation" appears. -

Trying to see if I can make the switch from PS (which I use only for content aware and access to filters). I've managed to get Nik filters working within Affinity, but I'd rather like to get my DXO filters also working. Any ideas please?

Doing some further testing with Topaz plugins I have come across a repeatable and widespread issue with colour artefacts appearing in extreme highlight areas after an image has been processed with most of the Topaz suite of plugins. So far I have found the issue in Adjust, Clarity, Black and White, and Detail. I have the latest releases of all of these plugins. I am attaching 3 files, the first showing the source image, the second the preview from Adjust, a the third the resulting image in Affinity. These are all crops from a larger image. Source PEF upload was prohibited.

Hi, I have installed the newst beta, and when I was importing plug ins, ArionFX didnt work. I was using Photoshop 6.0. But my friend with version 5.1 (he is windows 10, i am 8), it worked for him. This plug in is for 32bit tweak. Then I have installed CC trial to check. and importing from it doesnt work as well. I can work with other 2 plug ins I am using(fricshluft and google nik software). But arionFX which is like 90% of my post production cannot work. I really want to remove photoshop, and needed your help. Thanks!

Hello guys, There is a plugin in Bracket code editor named Extact for Brackets. If you don't know it, let me introduce you. You create your layers in Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator and save the files. Then, you can use such layers to dynamise your webpage with just a few codes according to all specification of your layer. Unfortunately, that plug only works if you have a CC account, of course. Maybe, we can have one plugin for Affinity as well. Perhaps, I wasn't clear enough, but I hope so.

Corel ParticleShop crashes Affinity Photo - each latest version under macos 10.11.5. Is there a chance for compatibility in the future? -
I've got the Zoomify Photoshop plugin from the website and I'm trying to add it to Affinity Photo but I'm not having any luck. Thinking it was to do with the file downloaded I tried using a copy from an actual copy of Photoshop that a colleague has but still no luck (there is a file difference in that the folder direct from PS has .swf file and .zvt while the downloaded one has .js file, oddly, with .zvt). I've not used plugins before with either PS or Affinity so not sure if I'm doing things right. I'm adding the folder to where affinity suggests and then restarting the app, but nothing appears within the dialog. Anybody else had any success with this or shall I call it quits and maybe get my PS using colleagues to export the file for me? Thanks! -
Hi, after a rebuilt of my iMac (Retina Model 15,1 2014) Plugins won't work correct. I've made a clean instal and become only the Demo Mode for the Nik Plugins like Color Efex or Analog Efex. The plugins works before with OS X 10.11.3. After the Clean install i've OS X 10.11.4. Topaz brings the message you can see in following Screenshot: I don't know wich file Affinity photo needs to starts the plugins (Nik) as full version. I deleted the Nik Collection and Topaz and after Restart i Installed the plugins again. But nothing changed. I have start a topic in the forum but I became only answer - deinstall und reinstall the plugins. The Plugin paths show to the plugin folder from photoshop 2015 CC and the support path is the global Access ("/") As result - I can't use affinity like I want (Today no replacement for Photoshop). With a Debugging Version it should be able to find the error where the plugins can't run in full working mode (no DEMO). Can you help me! Debugging Version could help also for causeless other Problems. My system iMac Retina late 2014 Model 15,1 4 GHz Core i7 AMD radeon R9 M295X with 4GB RAM Fusion drive 3 TB 16GB RAM OS X 10.11.4 (Clean install)

How can I write plugins for Affinity Photo? Is there an SDK? -
I own a copy of Topaz effects that works fine in Photoshop 2015 but only partially works in Affinity Photo. I can make all manual adjustments but the presets can be selected but none of the presets can be applied or seen in the browser. Also, I am logged into Topaz with Photoshop but the login does not show in Affinity. I have to login each time to use the Effects filter in Affinity Photo. Any suggestions or fixes for this problem would be appreciated. Thanks. -

I am one of the frustrated apple users who wish Photos had not replaced Aperture. However with El Capitan, plug ins or EXTENSIONS have been added. This is great news. Affinity repair brushes are great whereas Apple's ones are rubbish so I want to be able to use Affinity's as a plug in/ extension. I bought Affinity. I downloaded the beta. I opened both the purchased copy and the beta. I restarted my Mac and opened both copies again, but Affinity is not there as an extension in the Photos programme. I hit the more button but it's not in the Extensions box to add. I had no problem making Pixelmater available as an extension except that it only offers the distortion tool. Can anyone suggest what I may be doing wrong? -
I'm attempting to optimize my website, which Google PageSpeed Insights says is lagging due to images not being optimized. I've also discovered a website, TinyPNG, that optimizes images. My initial tests have gone well, and I've noticed there is Photoshop plugin for TinyPNG. Does anyone have any experience with this plugin? Will it even work in Designer or Photo? -
I don't know if this is possible. Today i do all my Photo-Editing in Lightroom, only for heavy composing purposes i switch to Affinity Photo (previous Photoshop ;-). Now... my LR/Affinity/LR-Workflow goes like this: - open the raw as psd copy in Affinity-Photo (psd becomes visible in Lightroom). - Do my work on the opened psd-file in Affinity-Photo. - save the work does forces the .aphoto Format, which is saved beside the psd. - Now i export the work as psd - what overwrites the previous opened psd - (which is visible in LR). - I make some virtual copys of the psd to do variations for the finish (i use all that develop stuff in LR for that) - If i want to do some more work on the file, i klick in LR on the PSD, and do the "show in finder" command. There i locate the .aphoto file and open it in Affinity-Foto for additional work. After finishing my work i do step 4 and 5. It may be useful to have a LR-Plugin that can handle the .aphoto directly. What do you think? -
I want to use Affinity like I have used Photoshop Elements in before: Drag pictures directly from Fotos into Affinity - do all changes - and save it back to Fotos. Affinity is not accepting any drag events from Fotos! : :( Another point: I have updated to El Capitan and Affinity 1.3.5. Even with this it is not possible to activate any plugin of Affinity for Fotos. The advertising slide show of El Capitan and Fotos is showing that it should be possible to use Affinity directly from Fotos. There is no way for me to activate this? :o What's wrong?

Follow the steps to install the Portraiture plugin for macOS without having any other editing apps installed. 1, Start the install of the Portraiture plugin 2, You will be prompted to select a host to install the plugin into 3, Close this window, the install will finish 4, Open Affinity Photo, Preferences > Photoshop Plugins 5, Click Add Folder and browse to the following location: /Applications/Imagenomic/Portraiture 2 Plug-in 6, Click Add Folder under Plugin support folders and add the following: / 7, Now click Close, you will be prompted to restart Affinity Photo Once restarted the plugin is available under Filters > Plugins (This was tested using the trial of the Portraiture plugin 2 and Affinity Photo 1.3.5) -
I am a happy user of AP. The only thing not allowing me to stop using Photoshop is the plugin functionality. Is there any information when we can expect plugins to work, at least Nik collection, Topaz and Macphun. For me some of the Topaz plugin works but only once if I try them twice they will crash, also for the NIK some work some do not (and there seems to be a color difference from what I see within the plugin and the result being sent in to AP). I wish for on1 plugins but that may be more difficult if I understand correctly, but on a positive note the claim on their blog the they do not work with AP at the moment - maybe that will change. Bottom line, does anyone now the status of plugin support? -
I just noted that on the on1 blog ( mention Affinity Photo and that it is not compatible (yet). Apparently many people have contacted them about this (inluding me). Those interested in On1 making their plugins work with AP should maybe head over and leave a comment in support of this.
