  1. A very welcome update! Thank you. I am still sorely missing proper support for large files though (PSB). Please consider that option.
  2. Hi Lee, I hope that the PSB support is getting re-considered. Without it it feels like Affinity with all its wonderful achievements so far is just dropping it right before the finish line. If Affinity wants to become a Photoshop replacement, it must start by being able to exchange data of any size in convenient ways. Some of my work is for example 21600x7200 pixels and larger with a gazillion of layers. Such work files can easily exceed 10GB of drive space in PSB format. I will not be able to make Affinity Photo part of my workflow without being able to read and write such files and exchange them fluently with Photoshop. Clip Studio Paint which I am evaluating right now btw can export PSB - Just FYI. I would like Affinity Photo not to fall behind and stay limited for certain professional uses. I'll yet have to test what will be retained when using a PDF, but normally I am used to PDF being used for production ready files.
  3. How are you supposed to be able to save large projects and exchange them with Photoshop or other applications? Affinity Photo does not support PSB No BigTIFF No layers with TIFF (I know, it's an Adobe thing) No editable layers are preserved with PDF Now what? I had high hopes for Affinity and I am really liking a lot of things about it (image brush!), but if I cannot use it to edit large projects (30GB+ image files) and swap them back into Photoshop then Affinity Photo is close to being useless for me. Please tell me there is either an option that I missed or that there is PSB support in the works! Thanks.
  4. Corel ParticleShop crashes Affinity Photo - each latest version under macos 10.11.5. Is there a chance for compatibility in the future?
  5. Have you tried to duplicate a brush, edit its settings, put it into a new category and hit "export brushes"? This seems to save it to a location of your choice. When you close Affinity Photo and restart it, the custom brushes will still be there.
  6. It would be good to make sure that if a filter layer exists, it only affects performance when it is made active/visible. This way I can keep a number of options at hand while working.
  7. These days there are a number of Photoshop Actions that produce more exciting things than full-blown plug-ins. I wish too Affinity Photo could use tham but it is very understandable if that is not possible... However, there could be Affinity Photo's own macro editor?
  8. That's a bit sad to hear. Multi-threading on CPUs however is welcome... It's just that I work with huge files with hundreds of layers and I think any tiny bit of speed would help. Even on my new Mac PRo... and the demands will just get bigger.
  9. My impression is that the Flaming Pear plugins are old as Methusalem and it is almost a miracle that they would still work in Photoshop. It does not surprise me that there might be issues in a program with a whole new code base.
  10. Does Affinity Photo support dual GPUs? And if not, is this planned? Adobe disappointed usersof the new Mac Pros because they still are not supporting the two GPUs. However, Pixemater does...
