Hello, the levels tool is one of our basic tools. We can not live without it. The PS's one is pretty simple und efficient. I would suggest two features for Affinity Photo's Levels tools: - Instead of a pull-dwn menu in order to choose the channel (Master, Red, Green, Blue), make simple button. There is enough space. See the grabs and modified grab. I just copy paste, it's ugly but you get the idea.. - Adjusting precisely the black and white for each channels is really challenging if you based your vision on the final image. Instead, it would be really easy to do if when pressing a key (let's say alt), affinity would show the peeks into a 2 colors mask). Try in PS! Thanks for listening. -
I love Affinity for its one time purchase and many of its great features but it desperately needs to support photoshop/illustrator smart layers to compete. I use the smart layers to easily create mock-ups for various projects and without this feature my work would be significantly more difficult. Thank you for your time, J. Hey, Another one from Affinity TV. Something we haven't been able to do since iPhoto got replaced with Photos. So, excited about this one because of that. I seem to have managed to pick up a wonderful AD keyboard template PDF from somewhere, but I have no idea where from (there isn't a "downloads" or "resources" section on the Affinity website which is IMHO an omission). I find templates handy because they speed up the shortcut learning process, a lesson I learned long ago in the days of WordPerfect and Wordstar :). The challenge: I would like to adjust it as the key outlines are too faint for me (on account of the negative correlation between experience and eyesight), so I was wondering if Affinity was willing to release the source of this document (at least, I hope it was done in AD). You can pull the PDF into AD and edit it, but if there is an actual AD starting point I would prefer that, and it would also help others who may have to work with different layouts. So, in summary: 1 - where can others download this AD keyboard shortcut PDF from? 2 - is there a more "AD native" version available? Ditto for Affinity Photo. Cheers! Hello! I just this morning got a tip from some site about Affinity Photo. I'm tired of paying for the subscription I'm currently have with LR and PS CC. I'm importing and fixing the most of my pictures in LR. Some of them, portraits for example, I also edit in PS. LR is easy and fast but I'm feeling that I'm not using it enough to pay the subscription fees. I can buy two Affinity Photo for the same money as a year of LR + PS. Is there anyone who made the switch who had the same workflow as me? Is Affinity a good replacement if I use LR? Any tips for a good way of cataloguing my photos as LR? -

Hi everyone, I have Affinity photo and having big issues with it: 1. It doesn't read the fonts from PSD files, so all the files look messed up until i fix it manually myself (the fonts inside the psd are not on my mac and the suggested fonts never look aligned ). 2. Once i export the file as PSD, the text can not be edited anymore after opening the PSD. 3. When i export the file as PDF for print, the pictures don't look as sharp and become kind of bright unlike in the original file, so i need to export as PNG instead to keep the look as the original. I am using this app for designing brochures and ads. The question is: Would it help if i'll buy Affinity Designer, or that app has the same core design/bugs? The thing is that Affinity Photo gives me ALL i need, but these bugs.... Thanx, in advance. -

With Affinity Photo 1.4 we get some plugins for Apple Photos: Develop, Haze Removal, Liquify, Miniature, Monochrome and Retouch. What about extending the ability of read Apple Photos plugins and not only Photoshop plugins? I sometime use DxO OpticsPro for Photos for quick noise removal and lens correction and I’d like to use it in Affinity Photo too.

I'd like to see hardness added to the flood erase tool in Affinity Photo. This way it would be possible to soften the edges up a bit (pretty much like the instant alpha tool in Acorn works).

Hi, as soon as I update my AffinityDesigner app and opened my copy of Affinity Photo, I noticed that the full Grid has disappeared (background grid). That by the way was very useful for both of the Affinity apps. And I didn't manage to find an option on the menu to enable the feature. I hope you could reconsider this option for the next update.

Working through this video from 1.30ish and using Affinity 1.4.1 For some reason, with a pixel layer selected, and when interacting with the channel panel and doing a control-click on a channel to load it to a pixel selection, the context menu will not appear, which puts a stop to things. Tried on two machines and with a couple of sample files. -
Working on an image in AP. Decide to apply the de-noise filter than zoom in on the image to 100% to see the results - and where did the filter dialog box go? It shows in the history but i cannot find a way to get to the dialog box to make adjustments. Am I missing something here? MK -
I've been trying to "fix" a picture I took last fall. If you open up the .aphoto file you can play with it yourself. My basic problem is that the sky and the moon came out too light and undersaturated in the original photo and now I'd like suggestions for how to fix that. I'm embedding a (down sampled) jpg of my work to date below:
