Cobalt reacted to Callum in How do we scroll down for panels ?
From my experience here I can scroll the panel even without scroll bars however I have a mouse wheel, you should still be able to scroll the panel by positioning your cursor below the file format dropdown as this is always on top and then using your mouse's equivalent of a scroll wheel. I have logged scrollbars not being included in this panel as a potential improvement for the future.
    Thanks

I’m using Windows 10 and the scrollbar isn’t there for me either.
I can make the lower panel groups smaller to see the other export options but that’s not ideal.
I’ve tried a few things but can’t seem to get the scrollbar to appear.

Cobalt got a reaction from Cuando in Color Schemes
The ability to group global colors into schemes by saving the state of the entire group. Individual global color could be changed and save the new group state as a new scheme.
This would allow having multiple color schemes for a group and change the look of the entire document merely by switching color schemes.

In all three apps, in Publisher via Document menu, and in Designer and Photo via View menu, you can use Resource Manager to make embedded images linked (to the location of your choice), which effectively saves the currently embedded images on disk. As adjustments and crops are basically non-destructive, they should be retained as they are disregarding the embedding/linked status of the images.
Additionally, you can relink currently linked objects to other images and if they have the same aspect ratio, adjustments and crops should also be retained as they are.

Cobalt reacted to carl123 in Designer: Change layer luminosity without affecting layer below ?
Or you could just add a Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer in the "Layer Top" Layer
The "trick" is to ensure that whatever you do it is a child layer of the top layer not above it or else everything will be affected, including the yellow layer

    Yes, there are several ways.
You can nest an Adjustment in the Layer Top layer and it will not affect the Layer Bottom layer which contains the yellow object. For example, an Exposure, HSL, Levels, Curves, etc Adjustment.
Alternatively, since you are already using FX Outer Shadow on Layer Top, also use FX Colour Overlay with semi-opaque black.

I don't even care to know in what universe such convoluted logic makes sense.

Select the rectangles group Copy (ctrl+v) Select the circles group paste-style (from the edit menu Ctl+shft+V) Nothing happens.
I think the style is transferred but it is not refreshing or something. The dash info is there and the color is there but doesn't update on the screen.

Cobalt reacted to - S - in Can you convert from color to grayscale and/or black/white in Affinity Designer and/or Photo?
There are a number of different ways to remove colour, however these are probably the most common ways:
    1) Go to Document > Colour Format > Greyscale.  Although I never use this as it's destructive and removes the colour information permanently
    2) Go to Layer > New Fill Layer, fill it with white and set the layer blend mode to 'Colour'
    3) Add a Channel Mixer Adjustment Layer and change the Output Channel to 'Grey'
    4) Add a Curves Adjustment Layer, set the layer blend mode to 'Colour', then drag the bottom-left corner point of the curve to the top-left corner (so that it's a horizontal line)
    5) Add a HSL Adjustment Layer and drag the 'Saturation Shift' slider all the way to the left (-100%)
    6) Add a Black & White Adjustment Layer
    7) Add a Black & White Adjustment Layer, and change the default values from 100%, to the following values to mimic method 3 (adding a Channel Mixer Adjustment Layer).  R=29.8%, Y=88.5%, G=58.9%, C=69.9%, B=11.4%, M=41.2% (for RGB 8-bit images only, the values will be different for RGB 16-bit images).  You can record this as a macro.
    8) Add a Soft Proof Adjustment Layer and set the Proof Profile to 'Greyscale D50'.  This will mimic method 1 (Document > Colour Format > Greyscale)
    9) To do it via 'Layer Effects' for a layer or group.  Open the 'Layer Effects' settings.  Go to 'Colour Overlay' and set Blend Mode to Colour, Opacity to 100% and Colour to white or black.

It's worth noting that the different methods give different end results as a straight B&W conversion, as per the below examples (click on the first image, then use the left/right arrow keys to scroll through them).  The Monochromacy/Achromatopsia 'Color Blindness Simulator' on this site, appears to be using something similar to methods 2 or 3 above.

Cobalt got a reaction from bb805 in Noise reduction ,denoise new download 1.7.0 is not working big bug!!!!
The new denoise feels like a downgrade compared to 1.65.
I think the algorithm is similar but we are missing the "extreme" options and it gives up too soon (running out of slider length often on some night shots).

Cobalt reacted to czissis in Embed the document's fonts into the .afdesign file
    Hello!
I know this is for AD desktop but what I was thinking it's a feature for both the desktop and the ipad version, btw i am really impressed with designer on the ipad, great work guys!
Would it be possible if you had an option to embed the document's fonts into the .afdesign file, so if you want to continue working on the ipad (or the other way around) to have all the fonts ready and not have to worry about installing them? And installing all your desktop fonts to your ipad will take up so much disk space on the ipad.
    Thank you!
