Typography Dialog turned into a Panel

They’re also too close together. Each of the ß and À characters in that screenshot collides with the characters in the line immediately above. -
Not necessarily. The way Adobe seems to do things is that you can reactivate your subscription as and when the need arises, so that instead of paying for a whole year you can pay for just a month or two. The cost per month will be higher, of course, but the overall cost will be significantly lower than it would be for a largely unused annual subscription.

*Creative Another tiddler: the Spanish version says “Sesiones de Creatividad de YouTube…” with a capital C (cf. “Visite los foros de asistencia…”) Correctly capitalized (i.e. initial cap only) in APub 2.4.2 on Windows.

There are various ways of desaturating an image. Did you apply a Black & White adjustment, or an HSL adjustment with the saturation dialled all the way down, or did you use a different method? Are the adjustment layers nested to the top copy of the image, or grouped with it? Does that step produce no result, or simply an unexpected result? (I can’t imagine that you’re unable to get past that step in the literal sense of being blocked from doing anything else to the image.)

WYSIWYG Web Builder (from Pablo Software Solutions) is often recommended for users of Serif WebPlus who are looking for alternative software that offers responsive or adaptive capabilities. -
Interesting. Until now I thought SEPA was nothing more than the acronym for the Scottish Environment Protection Agency.

Welcome back to the Serif Affinity Forums, @Cecilie. Your question is impossible to answer without a great deal more information from you. If you can’t share the document here, please attach a screenshot of the Layers panel, fully expanded, and briefly describe the steps you took to get to that point.

My first thought was that a jacket flap width of 105 mm is rather large for a book whose front cover is 210 mm wide, and that 70 mm — i.e. one third of the front cover’s width — should suffice, but when I looked it up online a few minutes ago I saw a recommendation of 50% to 60% (or 105 mm to 126 mm for the present example).

Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, Mike. The 'Allow selection to consider items inside a group' option in version 1 was replaced in version 2.1 by an Auto-select dropdown which appears in the Context toolbar when the Move tool is active. Selecting ‘Objects’ from the dropdown list has the same effect as the superseded option from version 1. Edit: Please see @GarryP’s screenshot.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @Andy7771. I see that what you have there is not just a starfish, but a Texan starfish! You can’t perform step 2 in the current version of Affinity Designer or Photo. If you don’t want to redraw the entire starfish from scratch, you’ll need to use a third-party vectorizer.

It would be clearer if it were expressed as ‘Version 2.4.2 of Publisher 2 is now available’ or ‘the latest version of Publisher 2 (2.4.2) is now available’.- 17 replies

No, you didn’t say anything wrong! I agree with what you said, but I’m concerned about the OP’s apparent state of mind.
