  1. +1. This is something that is not super hard to do but can improve workflow. IMHO should be in 1.6.x version.
  2. Hopefully you can, because it would be great to have the feature when you have a VERY customizable shape builder
  3. In this thread I will mention a set of feature from another software. What I will mention is not "you should be able to do this" but more like "this is their feature, can you implement this and also improve it with your own ideas?" In other words, not defining a goal, but a feature idea that Serif later can evaluate (throw out the bad parts and make improvements) and make a goal out of it. 1. In Adobe Illustrator you have a pure vector brush. What we have now is a png image stretched and warped to follow a path. Although the aforementioned brush can make some cool effect like marker simulation (watch frankentoon new video), a vector brush engine would help people that have to make pure vector files (SVG), people that make custom lineart for their illustration, etc. And not restricted to this. I really want to see Serif pushing the boundaries while keeping it vector. 2. Vector flood fill tool. Again, this would be very useful to illustrator. 3. Path thinning. For reference, you can look at Moho 12. It's a feature where you can adjust the width of a stroke around a node of the path. This is a bit hard to explain so I encourage you to look at it yourself. 4. Hiding a section of a path. This is also from the Moho 12. Which is a pretty self explanatory I think.
  4. Vector brush here is what you will find in Adobe Illustrator for example. Where you make a vector shape and then it will be stretched to follow a path. Pretty much like the current intensity brush but instead of png image, we use vector shape. So, you just make an arrow shape, exclude the triangle, pointy part from the stretched part. And just make a path.
  5. Yes! Seconded this. This should be very useful for making illustration.
  6. 1. This shouldn't be super hard to do.
  7. But, creating mask in Affinity Designer is very easy.
  8. Some question regarding Pinegrow. 1. Have you tried it? 2. If you do, is it an alternaive to Dreamweaver?
  9. Affinity Publisher probably can't open InDesign files in the first beta version. But, knowing that Affinity Software can open and export to ai and psd,i think it will able to at some point.
  10. Although this seems cool, I would say this won't show up in the 1.x version because currently it doesn't exist in the roadmap. Sorry for saying that!
  11. This is the little easy things that Serif should implement quicker. Not the immediate next version but in 1.6 if possible.
  12. This shouldn't be that hard to do. Although, I don't know anything about coding, I noticed that the Affinity Team is very quick at implementing something that doesn't involve nodes.
  13. I have a very strong prediction they are making a pure vector brush engine rather than just an arrowhead. It's more beneficial in the long run and they take a very long time to implement it. They decide to build apartment instead of just a single house.
  14. He is into drawing software from the 1980's so he probably know a lot.
  15. I think when we get an arrowhead, we will also get a pure vector brush engine, unlike the one existing now that is an image stretched to follow a path. The reason for this is that they take a long, long time to implement. It is very possible that they are also writing a code for pure vector brush engine since it is more beneficial in the long run, rather than making a standalone house, they build an apartment.
  16. Are you using a combination of Affinity Photo and Designer?
  17. Not yet, it will happen when they make bridge to Fusion and Resolve or even better, they make their own video software.
  18. I noticed that Affinity software is capable of detecting that there is another Affinity software installed on a computer. My suggestion is, when Affinity noticed that you have all 3 software installed. When you open the last software you bought, the first thing you see is somekind of a letter from the developer titled "Achievement completed : The Holy Trinity" or "Thanks for the support" or something like that. I think this is a simple thing to do but have great impact on making you sound less like a corporation but instead sound like a person.
  19. Yep! Switched from Inkscape and still missed that feature ever since.
