I own AFFINITY SUITE - so iwant create/edit/save.... with all the possibilitys of 3-apps together in ONE APP (one file/one folder/one doc-change....) I dont want this AD/AP/APUb...finder(explorere. tohuwabohu... I WANT AFFINITY SUITE (maybe Real NAME*. ass as compi-suffix...)
SUCH FILES are just for SUITE-OWNER openabele in SUITE (Each SUITE has has its "Personas" wich will intern direct link to FULL-AP/AD/Apub... 
THERFORE i have BOUGHT the SUITE...  I dont like different AD; AP; APUUB files in my finder/explorer... i want just ONE file and all the TOOLS from the 3 apps in one HOST_app... the AFF-SUITE...  with personas... it would be so easy... FULL AP/ APUB from inside AD or viceversa... FULL AD from inside AP/ and full of booth from APub... 
THEREFORE i bought the SUITE, not for  ... extra-orgenize all brothers (in seperate folders... or the same... but this TWIN/GEMINI... is without elders...  and horted in another folder..

A.) If you want to change the artboard size but keep all nested layers in their current size + position, you have this options:
1. Select the artboard with the Move Tool + activate the "Lock Children" option in the Context Toolbar…
2. Select the Artboard Tool…
3. … then drag a corner handle of the artboard with shift key pressed
4. … or type the wanted size … or scaling ratio in the Transform Panel.
B.) If you want to scale an artboard + scale all nested layers:
1. Select the artboard with the Move Tool and de-activate the "Lock Children" option in the Context Toolbar,
2. then continue with A.) 3 or 4.

Did you release the mouse button after selecting the text… then press + hold the mouse button down for dragging?

text dragging.m4v At least on mac it works in various apps, not Affinity only.
This way you can drag a text selection even into a macOS Finder window to save it there as snippet (file type: .textClipping)

Or once (or 4 or even more times) … depending on your situation. With no text selected 1x is enough and multiple times don't change it.
By the way, if you want to move  selected  text between text frames you don't need to leave the Text Tool, you can drag  selected text with the mouse button pressed into another text frame. (or use copy paste)
To visually hide a selection's bounding box or an ants marquee you have various options, additionally to your shown button "hide while dragging".
Depending on your situation you can …
• press/hold the Space Bar on your keyboard.
• switch to "Preview Mode" via Toolbar button or menu or shortcut.
• hide the ants marquee ("Pixel Selection") via menu or shortcut.

It's because other people besides the OP may read topics like this & they may find related info helpful. This happens frequently & I believe it is generally considered beneficial to the community as a whole. I assume that is why @Return replied to @thomaso's question, & why @thomaso asked it in the first place. Also, as far as I can tell, nobody "rejected" @thomaso's original answer. 
Besides, @Polygonius was the OP & marked several of our posts with a 'like' so I assume that extra info was useful to him or her, as I hope it will be to others not familiar with why sometimes pressing ESC more than once is necessary.

Thanks guys! Hit twice( or 3 times) ESC works fine.
This happens if you use a REACTANGLE as your background, instead the ARTBORD itself.... or bigger groups... in sub- groups.... each click outside will jump the focus to its parant/parant/more background....  In 98% cases i want this behaviovor... but SOMETIMES not. This 2-3% cases i dont want are: I+m deepdive working on an object..- i dont want to see the ANT_Lines and other "selector-guides/boxes"....  But this 03% percent the case, so the default.... gets higher and higer depending on click i say welcomme!

Press the ESC key to leave the text editing mode, then press a tool shortcut (V, B, …) to switch the tool.
This does not happen to me in V1. Here clicking an empty layout area does neither select a parent group nor the parent artboard layer, but just unselects the previously selected object. And, then double-clicking the previously selected, nested object in the layout window does select it again.
Can you show a video demonstrating the unwanted auto-select behaviour, including the Layers panel with unfolded layers and the panel option "Auto-scroll" activated?

As @Return shows, if you have text selected (highlighted) in a text object, tapping ESC once just deselects that text but leaves the cursor active at the insertion point in the text so if you were to type V afterwards it would insert a V in the text.

For clear problem description you might need to show a screenshot with your glow & setting and your exported result.
If you rather export the text frame only and have the resulting image dimension in mind: It is known ("by design") that these effects (blur, shadow, glow) seem to increase the exported image dimension, as far I remember by 50% of the used effect radius – regardless of their "visibility" (for human eyes).

I'm not aware of anything tutorial wise that we (Affinity) have created that covers this, happy to be proven wrong if anyone else reading this is aware of one
A quick search on YouTube for Affinity metal textures, or swap out the word metal for whatever texture you are looking to create, should return a number of results, which could get you started.  

Shift+Command+K is hardly the industry standard for creating a symbol (at least to my knowledge), it's just the keyboard shortcut that Serif chose to assign to this function. Since it triggers a menu command (Layer > Create Symbol), it's configurable! Just choose whatever key combination seems appropriate to you.

I can't reproduce a glow increased on export. What Affinity app + version + export setting + export file format do you use?

Turn off the Snap to Centre. I say this because the centre may well be at a n.5 number of pixels. 2.5 is the centre of a 5 pixel wide object.

If you mean different DPI, then no. The DPI is a setting for the complete document.

If you mean different Grid, then yes - each artboard has its own grid settings.

It also refers to all other snapping conditions that can "override" the "Force Pixel" rule in certain situations. After all, that's also why everything except Force Pixel is disabled in the "Pixel work" preset.

You need to select the Snapping settings you want, and only those settings. You can then make a Snapping Preset if you want.
And you need to turn off Move by Whole Pixels as mentioned above.
I'm not sure what you mean by your issue with vertical moves. Please provide screenshots of your Snapping options, and of the Layers panel, and of the object's Transform panel information. And perhaps a video to show the problem. And definitely a sample .afdesign file so we can see the setup you have ourselves,

I'm gonna hazard a guess that this is about the Move By Whole Pixels under Affinity Designers Snap settings and the fact it will continue to to maintain a non-integer X:Y position.
