  1. Although this might not help in this case: NEVER open a file directly fom OneDrive or any other synced drive/folder in the cloud. Donwload it locally and work with the local copy. Then send it back to the cloud.
  2. The problem is, when you install a program via an MSIX installer it ends in a kind of sandbox, where it can not be accessed from outside. Best is to uninstall Affinity Photo ( and also Publisher and Designer in case you own them), download and install the "traditional" msi/exe installer(s) and then you can access the programs as usual.
  3. Welcome to the forum @Wziuu I'm understanding your frustration. To be able to help you: is the crash some reproducable or does it happen randomly? can you provide a crash report:
  4. Turning OFF hardware accelleration didnt help?
  5. Also screenshots showing us the complete UI and/or the dialogboxes you use(d) are very helpfull.
  6. @J W Mintz TBH, not sure in what "economy" you are working, but the the question is not whether a backup solution is affordable, it is simply a must. I'm using Macrium and paying around 40 Euro/year. Add around 60 Euro per HDD (minimum 2) and you are done. And this is affordable for everybody working as a professional in whatever economy.
  7. Such errors can happen. My daughter (she studied spanish) told me, that a more correct translation could be: „El archivo incluye características de una versión más reciente de Affinity“
  8. There is a simple rule: If you need it, buy it now, regardless of the price. If you can wait for a better price, you dont need it, so dont buy it at all. This rule is a derivate of Eisenhowers principle for setting priorities. 😉
  9. How I solved it: opened your file "select all" and copy New from Clipboard exported it as wmf all looks good: So it seems that document settings are the key.
  10. Unfortunately not. Tried it 3 times in the last years, but weather didnt allow it, especially during autumn and winter. Meanwhile I have moved and in my garden are too many big trees covering the sun later and early during the year. Thinking about making pictures from a mountain, but I have too choose one, which is not too far away and accessible the whole year, especially in winter. And then I have to make sure to get the exact same viewpoint each time. So, as you see, the location can also be very critical.
  11. Glad I could help you with my hint. And to add: when you receive the email with the download link and the license key, you also get a code to buy Nik v8 with 20% discount. The download is not eligable for a normal upgrade.
  12. Short guidance: You do not need to make one picture per day, every 2 weeks is enough Use a ND filter so that you get the sun as a spot with a nearly black sky After a year choose a nice foreground at day time, but without the sun. Combine the pictures in AFPhoto Here is a detailed guidance: https://www.instructables.com/Capture-the-Analemma-of-the-Sun/ I had the plan to make a timelapse of an analemma out of ~365 pictures, to get a 12 sec. video. The problem was, that in my area there were too many days with bad weather. This might happen with the guidance above too, but at least you have the chance to wait around 2 days for an at least partly clear sky to see the sun.
  13. You also need to install the HEVC Video extension from the Microsoft Store.
