Lets say i a 10pt TEXT  with an "small" GLOW -

If try to export this file will alls 100+++ big.... cause the glow is goes so far....

But lets sy i never see the glow-fade-fx after 200 pix...  HOW can i export this ITEM? with just 200x"00 without any borders``Or lets say... can i COMPRIMISE any glow GLOE_FX or FADE OUT any GLOW_FX Than esport????

GlOW dfines in my stupid: Theer is such of "Inviisble-arnage..., there is a smooth visable range, there is a  pronounced "contur-range" and there is a Main-range...  and vice versa Tahts GLOW.

GARDIENTS to COMPRESS this GLOW schould be possible, does not?

I can't reproduce a glow increased on export. What Affinity app + version + export setting + export file format do you use?

Well, i can "shrink" a BIG glow-FX by clipping it inside a rectangle. (Your example has now relly glow... just a little bit) but than its look cut-edgy. But maybe its in the nature of BIG "glow" itself - it needs a lot of space for its "fade-out gradient". Sorry the post was a mind-knot by myself.

My example has a little/small glow because you mentioned it initially:

Nevertheless, your problem with increased size of a glow if exported

… doesn't happen to me with a small, medium or big glow:

For clear problem description you might need to show a screenshot with your glow & setting and your exported result.

If you rather export the text frame only and have the resulting image dimension in mind: It is known ("by design") that these effects (blur, shadow, glow) seem to increase the exported image dimension, as far I remember by 50% of the used effect radius – regardless of their "visibility" (for human eyes).

In your 4th example the GLOW "looks" it will takes double-space by EXPORT. But goes to Export Persona (or export regulary) and the expprted PNG will have a filesize by maybe FAC>TOR 50 compair to the Example-Text without any glow....

BUT AS ALREADY SAID:

A (relay) GLOW needs a lot of SPACE for "goes (fade-out)  to invsible" gradient/ 100% transparent)!

THATS i know NOW and it was my wrong Milk-girl-equalation by inti-post! But since my my last post i KNOW this "cirumsctances":

Have a nice day!
