  1. I made a little test and my settings were the following: Best regards!
  2. There was a post where a user was gathering info about the performance of Macro, thus this applied to Affinity Photo. This is what remains of that: You can see some System configurations we posted there. It might help. Best regards!
  3. Another good thing about being able to do this is that we gain more pixels for the Panels, which is something good for small screens on Laptops. Best regards!
  4. If this is what you want to do, as I said, you can use Constraints. If you don't find the panel, go to View > Studio > Constraints. Here is a little example: Select the children. You will see the white arrows. Click on them until they look like this. Now you can resize the container without changing the size of the inner object. Best regards!

  6. Hi there! I just wanted to share a list of sites that offer Public Domain Pictures in good quality. Some of them are listed in this thread, but I wanted to add more and publish a list of this kind of content (CC0 License, and also a High Permissive Licenses sites). Also, consider that there may be additional restrictions implied on these pictures, like brandings, buildings, people, etc. Also, please read each site's Licensing in order to ensure what can and can't be done. Edit: Since I crated this Topic, some things have changed, so: I removed non-working links and added a few more: [CC0] http://freeforcommercialuse.net/ [CC0] http://publicdomainarchive.com/ [HPL] https://pixabay.com/ [CC0] http://jaymantri.com/ [CC0] https://magdeleine.co/license/cc0/ [CC0] https://isorepublic.com/ [CC0] http://www.1millionfreepictures.com/ [CC0] http://realisticshots.com/ [CC0] http://startupstockphotos.com/ [CC0] http://publicdomainreview.org/collections/?medium=image [CC0] http://jeshoots.com/ [CC0] http://www.designerspics.com/ [CC0] https://negativespace.co/ [CC0] https://www.flickr.com/photos/spacex/ [CC0] https://www.pexels.com/ [HPL] https://unsplash.com/ [HPL] https://barnimages.com/ New: [HPL] https://pikwizard.com/ [HPL] https://gratisography.com/ [HPL] https://www.splitshire.com/ [CC0 and HPL] https://burst.shopify.com/ [CC0] https://libreshot.com/ [CC0] https://picjumbo.com/ [HPL] https://goodstock.photos/ Best regards!
  7. Hi there, Team! I'd love to be able to drag some Toolbar items to the Tools on the left side, as seen in the example below. To me that'd help me saving a little vertical space. Thanks a lot in advance.
  8. I agree. It's a very good suggestion. Best regards!
  9. As of now, I believe, the only way to break curves is by using that action: Best regards!
  10. Well, let's hope in the future there is more functionality for the Dial. Best regards!
  11. I am also an Inkscape user, and I know that some things you are familiar with will not be the same in Designer. As I see it, I have two tools for what I want to do. There are missing features right now, of course, but still, it's a matter of time. Time that some of us have the luxury of spending, while others can't. I'd love we all could integrate Designer in our workflows flawlessly, and I personally stick around until that moment comes for the majority. Best regards!
  12. My NEF files open in the Beta faster by around 50% (8.45~ seconds on the 1.5 version). So, there is definetly an improvement there. Best regards!
  13. Try the latest Beta. Microsoft Dial should be supported (if I'm not mistaken). Best regards!
  14. The main differences with a subscription model (Adobe-like) are, as far as I can see: It's not a monthly fee. If you don't want to pay the upgrade to the 2.X version, you still can use the software. The price for the upgrade will most likley be lower that the first time you buy it. Also, consider that we still don't have a release date for the 2.X version, so there are still more free updates on the horizon. Best regards!
  15. I am doing InkTober myself but I only use Affinity Photo/Designer for putting the word of the day. Also I use it to adjust the scanned images a bit Best regards!
  16. It'd be geart if you could record the event. Best regards!
  17. That's exactly how it works. Since the Beta versions are not good for production environments, Serif doesn't encourage to usi it that way, so, it's an optional download for us, and you can have both versions at the same time. Anyway, you can report bugs here on the forum. The Dev Team is doing the best they can on their never ending Bug-Hunt. Best regards!
  18. You must already be on the 1.5 branch of the products. If you refer to the 1.6 versions, they are still under development, in Beta stage. Best regards!
