  1. Wow...! Thanks, MikeTO, for the quick response... Appreciate it...! I will check out the links you provided...
  2. The C drive in my computer is running out of storage space so I need to upgrade it to a larger storage capacity drive... To do that I need to install (and run) all my Affinity programs (Designer, Photo & Publisher) on a larger capacity internal drive currently installed in my desktop computer... I would like to uninstall the programs first then install them on the aforementioned larger capacity drive; the uninstall is easy enough but when it comes to installting them (*.msix file) on the larger capacity drive, the install program doesn't offer that option... Is there a way to workaround the default drive the install program uses...? Thank you...
  3. Hmmm... Okay... Don't use the search feature within the forum...? Got it...
  4. Thanks for the quick reply, R C-R; appreciate it... Guess I typed in the incorrect words in the search box to find all the questions and answers regarding what I was asking... I'll be more careful next time...
  5. I looked through the FAQ for information regarding whether it is okay to uninstall the Affinity programs V1 once the Affinity programs V2 are installed but didn't find anything specifically related to that. So, is it okay to uninstall all Affinity V1 programs once Affinity V2 programs are installed...? Thank you...!
  6. @IdahoSAM...Indeed... my house is worth a butt load of money now; been here 10 years and owe around $168k... a neighbor just moved and sold their house for $710k--it was listed at $650k... Currently, Redfin has my house valued at $650k... 🤪
  7. @IdahoSAMThanks... I have a login for my account and one for this community... When I log into my Affinity account there is no 'My Account' in the drop down from the icon, only a menu selection: "Account Details" along with all the other choices including: "Order History" and "Downloads & product keys"... On the page for the "Downloads & product keys" are big blue 'download' buttons... Clicking on the button opens the popup with the text I posted in my last reply... At the bottom of the webpage when logged in is a link titled "My Account"; clicking on it opens the same menu as the icon dropdown menu when I am logged into my account...
  8. Here's the text of the popup I am seeing: Sync your content directly to your apps Did you know you can now sync your content directly to your apps rather than having to download and individually install from the website? It’s really easy to do and will make your content available across all apps and operating systems it’s compatible with. Just follow these steps: 1. Make sure you’ve updated to the latest 1.9 version of your Affinity app(s) 2. Open the app and go to My Account (the person icon in the top right of the app) 3. Follow the instructions to register your app and sign in to your Affinity account if you haven’t already 4. Select Go to My account and then Download all from the ‘My purchases’ menu on the right-hand side (you can also select the ‘Always install available content’ box at the bottom of this menu to automatically download and sync new purchases in the future) 5. Follow these steps for each app you own Once you’ve completed this process, you’ll be able to view all your store content in the My Account section of your Affinity app and use any content both online and offline. Any new content you purchase from the store will be synced automatically (if you chose this option), so you’ll never need to download and manually install any content packs again. If you would prefer to manually install your content, you’ll need to use this download file.
  9. @walt.farrellThanks for the response... Yes, I know... I am logged into my account, not the store...
  10. Thanks, @IdahoSAM, appreciate the response... Yes, that's the menu I see and when I go to 'Downloads & product keys', only the items I have purchased are there, so clicking on the big download button opens the popup with instructions as I noted... If the website hasn't been updated to reflect something different, I still don't see what is referenced in the text of the popup when I am in my account (order history or downloads & product keys)... And now, since I clicked on the 'download manually' link in those popup instructions, I can't reproduce what I was seeing... I will logout and try it again to see if it pops up again so I can get a screenshot of it...
  11. @AlfredYou may have answered this question already regarding asset downloads, so apologies... When I clicked on the download button for a purchased asset a popup indicates all purchased assets can be downloaded at once and synced via one's account... I logged into my account and one of the instructions is: "Select Go to My account and then Download all from the ‘My purchases’ menu on the right-hand side (you can also select the ‘Always install available content’ box at the bottom of this menu to automatically download and sync new purchases in the future)" There is no 'My purchases' menu selection, only 'Order History' and I don't see a 'Always install available content' box to 'automatically download and sync new purchases'... My device (PC desktop) was registered a long time ago... Am I missing something...? I usually manually download and install purchases so I'm a bit puzzled by this... I thank you in advance for your response... Carl Smith / Edmonds, WA / USA
  12. R-C-R, what RNKLN said... "unloads"... Or said another way, "crashes", "removes itself from the desktop", "disappears", etc... I tried downloading an image from my iCloud account to another graphics program I use and it did the same thing as it did when I attempted to download an image from my iCloud account to Affinity Designer: it "unloaded" itself from the desktop... So... that leads me to think it is some sort of an issue with iCloud or some weird Microsoft setting on my computer that doesn't like iCloud... Who knows; I sure don't... Anyway,, R-C-R, thanks for your feedback... If I do figure out what's going on with this issue I will post it here...
  13. I am using the latest AD version (1.7.3.481) on a Windows desktop PC and have run into an issue, which may or may not have been answered somewhere here in the land of the Affinity Designer forum, so I apologies in advance... The program works fine, but today when I attempted (3 times) to retrieve an image file from my iCloud account, the program instantly unloads so I have to restart the program... If anyone else has experienced this and have found a solution, directing me to the thread or links would be appreciated... Thank you...!
  14. Hello... I just upgraded to the latest version of Affinity Designer and all seemed to work okay but now when I have a file open and move an object within the file the program just crashes - i.e., completely unloads - and I have to restart the program. I've look on the boards here and am not seeing a similar issue listed hence this 'new' topic; hope that's okay... I'm not sure how to recreate the problem to show you what I'm experiencing because, as noted, the 'crash' was unexpected - the program just completely shuts down and disappears from the screen... Would this be a memory issue on my computer...? A rendering issue...? I am at a loss to figure this one out...
  15. Thanks, Mithferion - appreciate your input... Yes, I know that's how it works and, no, I don't use beta versions for production work... My current [stable] version seems to be working well now... I'm thinking the day the program locked up on me, another program may have been running in the background - a program using a lot of memory... And, just as an observance, every once in a while, when online, the Google Chrome browser stops responding - everything stops and the HDD light glows steadily; no mouse pointer, nothing works... Once the HDD light starts blinking and staying off for longer periods, that's when Chrome starts working again and the mouse pointer returns... Now, whether that has anything to do with why my AD program kept locking up and not responding, I haven't a clue...
