Hi Chris, Sorry for a late response, have not had a chance to further look into Affinity Photo for the past few weeks. Just bought the final release though and noticed that the slow raw file loading behaviour is unfortunately still there. Is there any rough estimate you can provide on when this will be resolved? For now Affinity is not really a working alternative for me as most of what I do is processing raw images. Thanks for your help

No, there is no firewall or proxy. I have not tried the Designer Beta, so don't know if that would work.

When I open a raw file (Canon EOS 550D) in the develop persona it takes 12s, whereas the same file takes only 4s in Photoshop Elements. Then the manipulation seems to work quite well, however when I click Develop the whole application freezes for several seconds before coming back to live again.

When you open the application for the first time it shows a window with various samples. However no matter where you click on a sample image or the cloud icon next to it, it won't start downloading or open it or give you any way to know what is going on.
