  1. I just open a jpg file - Live Filter Denoise - Live Filter High Pass (set to Overlay) As soon as I click on "Export" Photo shuts down. This works fine in the 2.0.0 release version Crash report is attached. Thanks. [Edit] After restarting the computer I don't get the crash anymore. 95d3d9e7-6c0b-40a0-aed2-7f61d69e6bb7.dmp
  2. Another crash a few minutes later... still working on a mask with a brush. Another crash report is attached. Seems to be related to .NET runtime Thanks d65db447-0b60-482e-af18-50670521dffe.dmp
  3. I started to work on a file I had made yesterday. I had work a few hours yesterday on it without any crash. Today, I loaded the file, imported a new pictures as a new layer. I cut out the subject and after refining I created a mask on a new layer. As soon as I started to work on this mask with the brush Photo just shut down. I have attached the crash report. Thanks 98f0e6ba-1f87-41bb-a363-ca4ad5fc8522.dmp
  4. No need to shout if you don't know how to find which drivers you are using on your computer. In the taskbar right click on the "NVdidia Settings" icon and select "NVidia GForce Experience". At the to click on "Drivers". Two lines below you will see which drivers you are using You can also get there by searching "nvidia" in Windows. For the difference search on nvidia site.
  5. I'm on Windows Insider too and I've just been working in Designer and Photo for the last three or four hours and I never had a crash, or any problem. So I'm not sure the Insider version has something to do with those crashes...
  6. To make sure I understand well... are @Titep and @Phil-LNDO the same person? I can export your file to any PDF format without any problem, with or without crop marks. So your problem must be related to your system. I'm on Windows 11.
  7. I opened your file, selected all the layers and as soon as I selected the Shape Building Tool Designer crashed immediately, it just vanished. I re-started Designer and it offered me to open the recovery file which I did. Since then, I can't crash Designer anymore. Shape Builder Tool works without any problem.
  8. I used Designer 2 for a little more than three hours recently and never seen any slow down or any kind of glitch. Windows 11 21H2, I have an old GTX1060 nVidia card. I noticed that most of the time people having problems have a more recent and better card.
  9. As everyone can see ... you just proved my point. Thanks. Oh... and I feel sorry for you ... but I don't really care very much. Have a nice day ... someday.
  10. Stop wasting your time guys... there is nothing to do with that kind of people. Whatever you say they will turn it around to make it look like they are right. There is a name for that condition .... They are alone and desperate and there is nothing we can do.
  11. Any of my clients has ever care for the software I used to get their job done. All they want is getting what they asked for. The only "collaboration" I have to do is with the printer. Once he gets the files in the format he needs, which has always been PDF, the client is happy once he sees the job. I first used (years ago) Corel Draw, then went to Draw Plus and PagePlus, which is the one I always preferred, then switched to the Adobe Suite. After a few years I tried Affinity Photo then Affinity Designer. After a few months of trial, I quit Adobe and never regret it. I now do most of my jobs using Designer and sometimes Photo. I still have to get something done in Publisher. Software programs are just tools, and there is no "one size fits all".
  12. If you can't afford it don't buy it and go with freeware and stop whining. Now I can be banned... I couldn't stand it anymore.
  13. Yes, your first step is to make a duplicate of your main image, then apply your filter on this new copy (which should be on top) and then change its blend mode to Overlay of soft light as you like. It does not have to be your first step. Never heard of that bug... it works fine here. Edit: After searching I found a post about this being a bug. It could be as it sometimes works weird.... but I have to make more tests ... when I'll have time.
  14. Use the filter on a copy of your main image and make sur it's on top of your main image.
  15. You just open your jpg file in Affinity Photo, do whatever you want with your editing and then "save" in the Affinity photo format. You then export your "new" jpg file under a new name and that's it. Whenever you want to modify your edits, you just reopen the Affinity file and when you're done you export again. You then can save it under a new filename or just overwrite the previous one.
  16. I never created anything so big. If the content is vectors only you just can bring down the dimensions to half of it and it will be fine printed at any size. And a print that size is certainly not for looking at from a close distance, so it can be smaller and viewed from a certain distance it will be fine. On what this will be printed? Have a look here for some informations on that subject.
  17. I don't know about your programming and design abilities, but as for "wording" ... you're quite good.
  18. It's not programming a good UI that is difficult, it's pleasing everyone. Unless you can show us how your good programming experience made you create a wonderful UI that pleases everybody. 'till then ....
  19. Sorry my bad, there is no current beta. It's .1640 but on another Windows computer... with the same scaling.
  20. Thanks @walt.farrell, I don't have to get new glasses. It works fine at 125% but I find it too big. But it works also fine at 110% or even 116%. I'm now at 110% and everything look allright. Thanks
  21. Yeah! I found out. I had a custom scaling set at 115% in the Display setup in Windows 11. I put it back to 100% and everything is back to normal, no more missing icons. All I have to do now is getting new glasses. Thanks you all for your help, it put me on the right track to fix it. I hope Serif will take note of this as I'm probably not the only one increasing apps size in Windows.
