  1. Still crashing sometimes... even with Hardware Acceleration turned off. Crash report attached. 61a22e12-5e68-4b59-be51-6d11159f5ca3.dmp
  2. I´ll try to disable Hardware Acceleration to see if crashes again. Too bad if Hardware Accel is working weird again in that new version.
  3. Since I´ve upgraded to Affinity 2.0, Photo has been closing by itself many times per day... during normal use, sometimes during batch export, others when closing or opening a file... sometimes while I try to move an object. I´ve attached the two last crash logs generated immediately after a closing. OS - Windows 11 nVidia Drivers updated. 9d82fd03-3c21-4bd4-bfd6-7a9e31e4abfc.dmp 9c6998a0-4451-4806-8546-d37e536f63f5.dmp
  4. Everytime I try to search/select a font by typing it's name on the Font menu, my Affinity Designer crashes and close. I´m using Windows 11, and Designer 1.10.5.1342. I tried to remove all installed fonts to check, but it still crashes when I try to type something in the font menu. Also tried: - Update gpu drivers - Reset preference files - Uninstall and Reinstall Affinity apps - Uninstall my Font Manager (Fontbase) EDIT: Just checked and the behavior can be replicated on all Affinity softwares. Tried some other softwares, like Word and Excel, without problem... but any Affinity software crashes when i try to type in the Font menu. Crashlogs attached. 9b875940-6d73-4157-b814-ef1e877040cd.dmp 9e20a760-200d-4699-a498-796f72d52740.dmp 21fbbe13-31e0-472d-8712-0212ad64a8cc.dmp 9418ada0-a1fd-4f4e-9585-dafbe2a63d6b.dmp bcbe4044-7772-4110-b77c-df9583b3b379.dmp
  5. In the end, trying to run DDDU crashed my Windows 11 and I couldn't login anymore (Pin not found error). Had to format my PC and reinstall everything. At least, Affinity Photo seems to be running OK now. Thanks Nathan and Richard for all the attention!
  6. Tried to reset the setting of Affinity Photo, and now I just can't use it anymore. It opens... and some seconds later simply vanish, no crashlog created. Tried to restart Windows, reset settings again, but still closing seconds after opening.
  7. Hi Nathan! Thanks for the answer. I've attached the print of the Preferences > Performance before reseting settings. I'll try to reset to check for improvment.
  8. In the last weeks, Affinity Photo is simply crashing a lot... not freezes, no alerts, no info... the app just closes and vanishes. I've been using Windows 11, with all GPU rendering disabled (it freezes all the time with GPU rendering ON). I've attached the last crashlog (i have a lot of those now ) hope it helps. ce8cf891-67c9-4eb3-9ca6-bb99aab0ea78.dmp
  9. Thanks for the headsup Chris. Will be trying that today! Already checked Intel drivers and there is a newer one.
  10. I understand. It's sad because I don't have any problem with other apps like Affinity Designer, Publisher, Capture One, DaVince Resolve or Blender, all of them heavy users of the GPU. But I also can understand the Dell sometimes don't make the things easier with their notebook, all customized, with custom drivers and things like that. I'll reenable the Intel GPU and disable the GPU usage on Affinity Photo until further notice. Thanks a lot!
  11. The temporary disabling of the Intel GPU on my notebook seems to solve the problem. vRam usage very high without crashing. @Chris B- Do you think it's something that can be solved in a patch or update in the future, so I could use hardware accelation without disabling the Intel GPU?
  12. I've did some quick crazy stress test with many layers, live filters, overlays and transformations. The vRam got very high and than lowered after sometime, Affinity Photo even got a little slow, but didn't crashed. I'll do some normal usage for some days and report back.
  13. I've tried a lot of older drivers, including 466.77 (always cleaning with DDU between installations). When I disable the Intel GPU, I lose some functions on laptop monitor (like controlling it's brightness or callibration/profiling), but I'll try it anyway, at least for some time, to see if Affinity Photo stops crashing.
  14. Just as an update. After the new nVidia driver update, 472.12, it's still crashing under the same conditions (high use of GPU Memory). No news is bad news.
