  1. Hi @Susie1001 welcome to the forums,

-Have you tried resetting your text styles by following the below?

    1.  Close down Publisher
    2. Hold down Ctrl and Double click the Publisher Desktop Icon whilst holding down Ctrl
    3. This should prompt for a new menu with three boxes ticked, additionally tick 'Reset Text Styles' and Press 'Clear'

    - If this doesn't resolve your issue you can try saving a blank .afpub document which contains the default text styles, and on your effected document on the text styles panel dropdown, press 'Import Styles' and import your blank .afpub document.

    - Your error appears to relate to an issue with a Nvidia OpenCL dll file, try disabling Hardware Acceleration in Edit > Preferences > Performance to see if this prevents this, however it may also be worth completely uninstalling your Graphics card driver using the uninstaller tool and re-installing from the Nvidia website.

So yes, that's what I wanted thanks. No background, just the phone with the image.  So can I ask when I choose refine, what do I actually select, to get an exported png please. All of those sections in your Phone Refined file?

The selection has already been made in my originally attached file on the top layer which is ticked as visible, so you should be able to export to PNG with that file.

Alternatively, if you want to use your original file instead of mine, draw a selection around the phone > select 'Refine' on the context toolbar > Output at the bottom as 'New Layer' or 'New Layer With Mask' > Untick old layers visibility > File > Export to PNG.

  3. Hi @TopRobRoy,

If you're trying to export your image to PNG without the checkerboard background as carl has mentioned, one way you can achieve this is by making a selection of your Phone image > Refine > New Layer with Mask and then resize your canvas (if required), uncheck the old layers and export to PNG. Attached is my afphoto file ready to export.

  4. Hi @JOleg,

The copying of files via CTRL + left click drag and ALT + left click drag serve different purposes, the Ctrl drag honours snapping whilst Alt drag is not bound by snapping. I can see your query has been raised previously however as far as i'm aware there isn't a way to disable this. Perhaps another user may have a suggestion, If not it may be worth posting this in the Feature Requests and Suggestions Board.

  5. Hi @markimark,

This does suggest you need to be  using replace in resource manager instead of pasting an image inside your opened embedded document as this will result in the original image also being replaced.

The resource manager can be accessed via View > Resource Manager in Designer. More information on how embedded/linked resources work is available in the help links below.

  6. Hallo Hirma,

    ------

It looks like your query has been raised as an improvement on the Feature Requests & Suggestions Board linked below. As far as I’m aware there isn’t a way to hide the rotation/movement handles with the object selected using the move tool.

have exactly the same problem. I load picture files from the hard disk, and, I think when I am using the selection brush or the 'refine edge' function, the program freezes. This happens randomly, and when editing some files it works perfectly, but the error occurs so often that the program is effectively unusable - I can't re-start the program every 10 minutes. Here is a screen shot:

Have you tried the user suggestions as stated above?

    - Try disabling Hardware Acceleration (the last checkbox) in Edit > Preferences > Performance

Ensure your Graphics card drivers are up to date, the latest updates can be downloaded your card's vendor website, either:

  8. Hi @TVK,

I'm raising this internally as i've been able to replicate what you have demonstrated in your video. To prevent this happening, after importing into Photo, right click on the image layers > Rasterize and then erase the signatures off, this destructive approach will ensure that when the Art boards are converted to spreads they will be Pixel layers instead of image layers with the erase preserved.
