  1. The cloud with the X is the cancel button. This means it is downloading, once the cloud disappears, the sample is ready to be viewed.
  2. The samples requires downloading first. Once you click on them it will start the downloading progress and the white circle will fill up with a blue progress bar. Once it's been downloaded, the cloud symbol will disappear and you can click on it once more to open the sample.
  3. That could be the colour format and profile set for the current document you are viewing. The colour wheel changes to show the colours available for the current colour profile. This is changed in 'Document Setup'.
  4. With the pencil tool, you can hold down ALT (or Option) to use the eyedropper tool directly. :)
  5. Yes they are actually very different so we should probably have given them different names. TAB is a toggle for hiding the current UI in the current state. Pressing TAB again, restores that state but it doesn't show all UI unless all UI was visible to begin with, For example: - Hide your toolbar. - Hide your tools. - TAB will now hide your studio, context bar, and status bar. - Pressing TAB again will show your studio, context bar, and status bar. It does not show the toolbar, nor the tools. - However, SHIFT+TAB will show everything including the toolbar and the tools, ignoring that they were hidden before TAB was pressed. I hope that explains it. For the majority of people, toggling TAB is all they need. :)
  6. Hi retrograde, No problem with the suggestion. We will take it into consideration. :) My tip was just something related that I thought I just throw out there... :P App Exposé isn't Mission Control, that's something slightly different. I don't think App Exposé is available from the LaunchPad nor the application folder. Check your system preferences as MEB suggested to see if this function is turned on or off. Also, the OSX version might affect if App Expose is available or access differently. Edit: It works in OSX Lion, but I had to turn on the swipe gesture to activate App Expose in the Trackpad preferences. Control + Down Key should still work though.
  7. That is what the App expose does! As well as showing the files currently opened, it also shows you the list of recent files. :) Edit: See attached for separated mode.
  8. A tiny tip: Affinity Designer supports osx App Exposé. This means you can get a list of your recently opened files anytime (including thumbnails and names) by using App Exposé. Depending on your OSX and settings: this can be access anytime by doing Control + Down Arrow Key. You can also use the trackpad '3 finger swipe down' gesture.
  9. Just to let you know, pressing TAB again will unhide the UI. :) Edit: Show all UI is now fixed for the next beta.
  10. Hi Gary, When you have time, can you try exporting again with 'Automatically Hide Extension' unchecked. This is in the preferences panel in the beta application. This is just to rule out whether it is a auto hide file extension issue, since it seems that the Export person doesn't honour the system's setting. Thanks, Andy
  11. The white snapping panel has now been isolated and fixed now. Will be in the next beta. :)
  12. Command + tilde is a system shortcut that we can't change. What it does in most apps is switch between windows, not documents. You will find this all works in Separated mode since documents are usually inside a new window by itself. In non-separated mode, the standard way to switch between views is Ctrl + Tab (ie Safari which is also tab base). Edit: Saying all that we probably should have a shortcut key to switch between views regardless of window mode.
  13. It's not a problem at all. :) I certainly don't expect all our users to be using the beta, and it is a perfectly reasonable request for those that do not know, or if they don't use the beta. My answer is purely to let the original poster and anyone else know that it will almost certainly be available in the next app store release (unless it breaks the beta in some horrendous and unforeseen way).
  14. Hi Ronnie, this has already been implemented in the latest beta.
  15. You will be happy to know that this has already been implemented in the latest Beta, and so will be in the next App Store release. :)
  16. That sounds like an oversight. No reason why we can't allow typing in font lower than 8 point since we do support it. I will make sure it is in for the next release.
  17. Hi Arctic Gorilla, did you redownload the beta before doing a new install? Can you check the beta version number?
  18. Hi Gear maker, I think we have figured out what makes it crash when creating a new document and it will be in the next beta. Andy
