PeterRex got a reaction from Clockmaster77 in Diving into Designer...
Don't say Covid 19 is only bad (even if it is!), thanks to a big dent in my workload I finally found the time to get my hands really dirty in Designer, that is doing some "old style" illustrations instead of the usual logo work.
Some input would be nice !

PeterRex reacted to Frances Proctor in Vintage text effect
Another Text effect that incorporates pattern layers. There is one on the background too. This time I went for a kind of vintage 3d look I chose soft muted colours in tones of pink and yellow .

I am totally new to Affinity Photo and look forward to whether it is so good that I will opt out of my Adobe.

And yes, I know what you want to say!
Here it comes!
And I was rather going for the mood than realism.

PeterRex reacted to Frances Proctor in Beach text effect
Inspired by beach style resin crafts I saw on the internet I thought I would re create the effect as a text effect in Affinity Photo. I used seamless repeating images as pattern layers and the text is still editable.

PeterRex reacted to StuartRc in Camouflage III [Vector]
Tree Construction
For the trees I wanted to create something modular that could be used to build a number of similar objects
The branches for the main trees (Bumble Tree!) are also used to generate additional trees for the landscape
The faces needed to vary slightly to create unique trees. So Rock Monster World Assets were used to construct different faces.

I watched my cat sitting on a fence post, well it was noon, but I took some liberty with the time of day …
