If the lights are blown out/ too bright then there is no way of recovering them other than taking the photo again with lowered exposure. the file has lost/ clipped the information of pixels that are very bright and thus there is no way of lowering them other than just fading them into grey which looks awful. Maybe read up on this on some website keyword "raw/ clipping/ overexposed" cheers

Using curves in AP
anon1 replied to Littletank's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
I'd strongly recommend working this guide about curves https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/18992-understanding-curves/?p=88071 it will be one of the things that really help understanding photo manipulation regarding your questions: 1. what box do you mean? 2. to delete a point, click and press backspace/ delete cheers //for more free tips, KLICK << -

here is a recent thread about editing in Capture One https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/46203-editing-with-affinity-photo-from-capture-one-pro-10/#comment-231232 additionally you can check out round tripping using layered TIFFs to store the Affinity Layer information. https://affinity.help/photo/English.lproj/pages/Sharing/export.html For TIFF file formats: Save Affinity Layers—Layers in the document are preserved in the exported TIFF image. cheers -
FFT Denoise
anon1 replied to Tschaikowsky's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
FFT Denise is for reoccurring patterns such as stripes your pattern is rather random and thus not suitable for FFT try bilateral blur or other blur filters instead or Noise > Dust&Scratches cheers -

Starlights Filter?
anon1 replied to affwin's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
30bugs? Worth the cost? Whaaat? just add a star shape and blur and use some blend mode like screen or/ and play with the opacity instead of a star shape you can also add additional lines no big deal i am sure there are many such Ps tutorials available on YouTube that are very well applicable to AP (or even AD) let us know if you get stuck at a specific place -

AP is just the wrong tool for 1200 photos or even 200 Adobe has LR and PS and LR is the tool to work on 95% of the images PS is the tool to finish <5% of the images in a high end fashion, that is what AP is other than that RAW loading speeds are somewhere on their radar as well https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/13792-dam-affinity-lightroom-killer-request/&do=findComment&comment=61067 cheers
