Staff stokerg Posted June 29, 2015 Staff Posted June 29, 2015 Hi Mike, Which plugins are you trying to use? Also, we are still working on the plugin side of things so mixed results at the moment are too be expected. If you can let us know which plugin is giving the error, we can at least highlight it for further testing. Quote
stilabel2 Posted June 29, 2015 Author Posted June 29, 2015 focus magic, picture code, topaz. some of these worked about 3 versions prior to this last downlaod. some just crash and the software closes and some give the error message. Otherwise I really like the program. Mike Quote
phazen Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 I am also getting the error message "IPC Memory in use or Image size is too big for the system. " I am trying to use the Topaz filter Adjust 5. Quote
Onlymac Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 I Have the same problems with the Topaz Collection and OS X 10.11.4. With prior versions from OS X I have not this problems. Sorry i mean OS X 10.11.4 Quote
Staff MEB Posted May 2, 2016 Staff Posted May 2, 2016 Hi Onlymac Which issues are you having with Topaz plug-ins? Can you be more specific please? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Onlymac Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Yes i Can! The Topaz Photolab FX worked with Affinity Photo and OS 10.11.3 But not with The OS X 10.11.4. Mein Imagenomic Plugin hingegen funktioniert ohne Probleme. Quote

Staff MEB Posted May 2, 2016 Staff Posted May 2, 2016 Hi Onlymac, Download and reinstall the latest version of the plug-in (available from Topaz Labs website) that's giving you trouble. Out of curiosity, what's the size of the images you are working with? Are you working with 16 bit images? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Onlymac Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Hi, 16 Megapixel but the problem was also by 3 or 4 Megapixel. The Pictures were JPEG with 8 Bit. Same Picturesize were used before i make a clean install without problems. Quote
R C-R Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 By "clean install" do you mean you erased/reformatted the drive & after reinstalling OS X, downloaded & installed fresh copies of Affinity & the plugins again, or did something else? People use the phrase "clean install" to mean several different things, some of which do not actually guarantee 100% "clean" results, such as copying or reinstalling apps from local backups that may themselves have become corrupted. Onlymac Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Yes, the Hard drive was clean (All Partitions Without the EFI Partition was deleted). The Fusion drive was rebuilt and OS X was installed from a external bootable drive. Than I installed all Apps and I doesn't use the backups from Time Machine. The Time machine drive was also cleaned before I make the first Backup after installing OS X. Quote
nwhit Posted November 17, 2019 Posted November 17, 2019 For those who run into this error message (IPC Memory Fail), after updating to Mojave and trying to load my Topaz Labs Star Effects filter, I got the error. Finally figured out I had to go to the v1.7.3 APhoto prefs/Plugins and do the Authorize Global to get it working again. Hope this helps. Neil Scott Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 I have just updated Photoshop CC (21.1.3) and now Topaz Adjust 5 no longer works. I have to upgrade to Topaz Adjust AI at a cost of $179!. Any ideas? Quote

Your question sounds more appropriate for either a Photoshop support forum or (more likely) a Topaz support forum. It really isn't relevant to Affinity Photo, in my opinion. emmrecs01 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
