firstdefence
Can't be decoded means the app you are using to view the video; an MP4, doesn't have the codecs to translate it. Llattif
Hi. I have tried the link - photobox. It is the same although I am trying to check with them as to which version I have. Yes, my version only supports jpegs and does not show png's as available. I have extracted the file to the desktop and it will save BUT it still has the white background - it opens in Photo. Whilst I understand every-bodies' help I really feel that the problem lies in the fact that my computer will not happily extract the PNG from Affinity to a place from where I can upload it without the background. Please don't give up !!! R

Llattif
Not sure what I meant by the 'my version only supports jpegs'. What I mean is that PhotoBox says it can upload jpegs and pngs. Problem is where are they to upload? They do not become available in the desktop.

You shouldn’t be typing the name. Click on the ‘elephantagain’ thumbnail on the right to populate the ‘File name’ box at the bottom of the dialog. Llattif
OK all you great people who have offered your help for which I am very appreciative.. Having tried all your suggestions and contacted photobox, who assure me there is no problem, this is how I see it. I follow the processes to export the png correctly. It appears as an icon ON the screen but will not become available from there mainly, it seems, because it becomes unavailable to PB from there. I need it IN the folder. It will open from the screen in many other progs but with the background. Jpegs go to the desktop folder and are available for use. It is only the png which stays on the desktop screen. Have looked all over the net to no avail. Any chance you could all have a final attempt?? Thanks Roger

The “desktop folder” and the “desktop screen” are (or should be!) one and the same, unless “desktop folder” refers to another location such as OneDrive. It would be helpful (both for you and for anyone trying to help you) if you were to tell Windows to show file extensions so that it’s immediately obvious whether a dialog or a File Explorer window is showing JPEGs, PNGs, or both. firstdefence
I honestly don't think it could be any clearer than @- S - video, if you follow the steps outlined in that video exactly, I fail to see how you can't upload a PNG. Other than actually creating a video for us to see your steps, we are just going to keep going round in circles. R C-R
11 minutes ago, Llattif said: Is this it ? Is what what? You have been told to select the Desktop folder on the left, indented under "This PC." You have not done that in your last screenshot, so how you expect it to be correct is beyond me. But to give it one more try: Select "Desktop" on the left, under This PC -- it is the item just below "3D Objects." Then, do not type anything in the "File name" box at the bottom of the window. As @Alfred said, click on the thumbnail image of the file you want to upload on the right side of the window. It is also the item just below “Quick access”, which is the view that Roger has shown us in his latest screenshot. Looking at the folders on the right in that screenshot, I see two folders named ‘Desktop’. I think that’s the problem: the first one (on ‘This PC’) is the standard Desktop folder, but the other one is buried at ‘This PC > Desktop > New folder (2)’.
