p_mac
Would it be possible to open Macro and Library at the same time without having to go into Studio each time. Or perhaps I am missing something that already allows this. Chris B
Staff Chris B Posted March 1, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 1, 2019 Hey p_mac, This is something that has secretly bugged me for a while too. It's very rare that I'd open one without needing the other. I can pass the feedback on now that it has been raised on the forum How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
Staff MEB Posted March 1, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 1, 2019 Hi p_mac, Not exactly what you are asking for but you can set up a shortcut for each one to quickly open them (no, you can't use the same shortcut for both - it will not work!). Set the first dropdown to Photo and the second to Miscellaneous in the Keyboard Shortcuts section in the Preferences to set them. Staff Chris B Posted March 1, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 1, 2019 Development weren't keen on making them open together from the View > Studio menu however, they have agreed to look at adding Library to the 'Left Studio' as currently only Macro is set to open. So once this has been implemented, you will have to just go to View > Studio > Enable Left Studio and both will be open. As long as that option is left enabled, both Macro and Library will open as default for any new projects. Polygonius
I´m using BTT and can open macro and macro-librarry with one stroke. Same for eg. m text-panels one stroke opens all of this tools in a "separate multi-tab". But yeah outside the left/right studio, so this "floating-extra-studios" will not keep its place (or will keep but not move to the new "top"-position, there is no "magnetic") if eg. switching from a shrinked view to fullscreen and viceversa. However best would be to have "different studios" for alls kind of special-work you are currently doing. Audio-Apps has such feature: just define some views you need for special work and save as screenset or however called. Then call it with a shorty you like. even the FREE Krita knows different free configurale frontpanel-designs! OSX 12.5 / iMac Retina 27" / Radeon Pro 580X / Metall: on! --- WWG1WGA WW!
