sdrum
How can I clear text formatting? Usually when pasting text from another source one needs to clear the format so that it doesn't have too many breaks. Tx.
hawk
Edit: Nevermind, I didn't read correctly. See @mac_heibu's answer. Edit --> Paste Without Format ⌥⇧⌘V Or use a clipboard manager like CopyLess to remove formatting automatically. Quote ♥️Affinity v2; macOS 14; ⌨️🖱; recreational user since 2014. mac_heibu
You are talking about „breaks“. If you want to get rid of multi breaks, copy a paragraph or a line break symbol from the imported text. Open the „Search & Replace“ section. Copy the paragraph symbol twice into the search field. Copy the paragraph symbol once into the replace field. Hit „Replace all“. Do this as long as multi paragraphs are found. (The way of displaying the paragraph symbol as an object in the search/replace field makes it quite probable, that we will soon see a more comfortable way to insert special characters into the Search/Find dialog. hawk

Windows users can already do it, but apparently Mac users cannot do it yet. In Windows there is a magnifying glass icon under the Find field of the dialog. Clicking it offers a list of the invisible characters to insert into the field. Similarly there's an icon under the Replace field that will insert the invisible characters there. mac_heibu
Than you @walt.farrell and @carl123! But I am convinced: When we Mac users get this feature, we will have a much, much nicer magnifying glas than you have! moromidesign and Alfred

carl123
Nothing special, I just hit the PrtScrn button on my keyboard. PMan
Hi Walt-Farrell, Carl123 try using Gadwin Printscreen. It allows you capture Full screen or user defined area, where to save screen prints, whether to name them automatically, what format to save in and if you click on something like the magnifying glass (hey Mac users!!), then when the dropdown appears just hit your user defined hotkey/s to capture the image. Can't do without it, so much easier than copying a full screen print Pman walt.farrell
