Petar Petrenko
Hi, in Photoshop when we enter values in any field in "Image Size..." all other values are automatically changed, which is not a case in Photo. There is also "Reset" option when ALT button is pressed. Can we expect these changes in v. 1.7 in Photo? If units is not pixels (in other words, it is a physical unit), then changes to the DPI control will not update the size values, and that is the correct behaviour because the physical size of an image does not change when the pixel density changes. Resample disabled: If units is pixels, then changes to the DPI control should not, and does not, automatically update the size values because there can be no change to the quantity of pixels when there is no resampling. If units is not pixels (in other words, it is a physical unit), then changes to the DPI control should update the size values in real time, but fails to do so. The last of these four cases has a problem. Physical units are calculated from pixels. So, they must change whenever pixels change. As an example, say you have one inch containing 72 pixels, and the pixel density is 72 ppi. When you resample that to 300 ppi, there are now 300 pixels but they still span one inch. No, in this case you have 0.24 inches. Unfortunately so it is. Resizing is a misery. I hope the developers focus on the essentials in the next version. To resize images in a professional way we have to use other applications. Petar Petrenko
It is a shame to use PS just for resizing pictures. It would be nice if they just copy that PS's panel and it will not be a PS clone, either. Old Bruce
I find that using the arrow key will update all the boxes right away but the typing of digits into the boxes won't update until I hit Tab or click with the mouse into somewhere new. Maybe they are trying to conserve processor cycles. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4 Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.
