See CorelDraw for how best to do this.

Two handles for rotating, either end... and an anchor in the middle, which if dragged off the guideline to snap to a node, edge or other entity takes the guideline with it, so as to make the rotation point exactly from whence it's desired.

And the rotation handles can be moved inwards/outwards from the anchor point, and also snap to anything desired.

And, when not in rotation mode of guideline, an [alt+drag] action creates a new guideline absolutely parallel to the source.

While I'm sure Corel has it's way of doing it, we generally design features like this for how they best fit with our general approach.

I'm not going to make any promises yet on how it will be implemented, but be assured that it will well thought out.

Do you want to ROTATE guides, or do you want FREEFORM guides? If there would be "Convert to Guides" command for lines/curves it would cover this case.

Pretty smart !

In four days it will be exactly THREE YEARS since Moderator Ben said "Soon, soon". If you're a geologist three years is very soon. But in software development, three years is an ETERNITY. Rotating guidelines most designer would agree is a VERY BASIC FUNCTION... So, please: Exactly how long is "soon" in Affinity speak?
