1.6.0.88 Text is now pixelated

Recommended Posts

I don't think it was in beta 87 but every font I am using today is pixelated. I tried it in the release and am getting the same thing. I am posting it here in case it is a bug but if it is something opn my system please advise. I am using normal installed fonts sized in the 25 pt range

Thanks

The whole image looks very grainy and pixellated to me!

Have you turned on Pixel View Mode by any chance?

Are you used to looking at the text in Designer? As that's vector, it will be smooth when you zoom in. If you're in Photo, it will be pixellated when you zoom in.

No photo although I did load it into designer with the same apparent effect. I am keeping a watch on it

If the effect is the same, it sounds like it's been rasterised. If you create text in Photo, then zoom in, it will pixellate, but if you save the file and open it in Designer, it should be smooth.

So there is a bug in Photo? One shouldn't have to open in Designer. I am still playing with this. If it persists I will post back here

No, if you create text in Photo and then zoom in, it will appear pixellated. This is expected.

That is the first time I had seen that on 14 point type with the graphic full screen. I'll keep looking and take some screen shots if need be

You are placing it on a low resolution image. Perhaps you normally open higher resolution files. 14 point (14/72 of an inch) text will be more or less pixelated according to the background image resolution
