Quarian Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Figured something out...and, yes, I'm putting my age out here. Back when Illustrator was in it's infancy, it didn't have text on a path as a tool. In Washington, DC, with all the official circular seals, Government designers were going nuts. A lot of people were scanning seals in and using them that way. But I recall a method from one of the Adobe Illustrator "88" books that had been published at the time... ...to be continued on the face of the attached AD file. Hope this helps. Staff MattP Posted January 19, 2015 Staff Posted January 19, 2015 Haha! Well, that's a handy resource for anyone who wants to achieve this - thanks! Hang fire though... we may have a solution for you a little sooner than we'd originally planned... :) Dale, Quarian and peter 3 Quote
Quarian Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 Thanks, MattP. Granted, it's a bit time-consuming but it will get the job done. Figured it might take some of the heat off you guys. MattP 1 Quote
Quarian Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 Just noticed that it reads "This mechanics..." Should be "These mechanics". My apologies...I created this at 2am EDT in the states. peter 1 Quote

ronnyb Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 How about a REAL guide generator in AD, something like this: http://incompetech.com/graphpaper/ peter and A_B_C 2 Quote 2021 16” Macbook Pro w/ M1 Max 10c cpu /24c gpu, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, macOS Sequoia 15.1 2018 11" iPad Pro w/ A12X cpu/gpu, 256 GB, iPadOS 18.1
peter Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Sometimes the Dev team have to doff their caps and tell us to go elsewhere for the little-added-feature: Vector Magic is one of those features, that can't be beaten, maybe there's a sense of dejavu going on here. Octiron Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Wait... MONDAY!? Ooooh. Anyway, thanks MattP - really looking forward to this Quote
Staff MattP Posted February 14, 2015 Staff Posted February 14, 2015 Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this won't be in Monday's beta build of Designer - it needs a couple of things looking at first rather than sending something out the door that we know isn't finished properly, but it's definitely on its way very soon :) Quote
