Text on a path...Illustrator "88" style

Figured something out...and, yes, I'm putting my age out here. Back when Illustrator was in it's infancy, it didn't have text on a path as a tool. In Washington, DC, with all the official circular seals, Government designers were going nuts. A lot of people were scanning seals in and using them that way. But I recall a method from one of the Adobe Illustrator "88" books that had been published at the time...

...to be continued on the face of the attached AD file.

Hope this helps.

Sometimes the Dev team have to doff their caps and tell us to go elsewhere for the little-added-feature: Vector Magic is one of those features, that can't be beaten, maybe there's a sense of dejavu going on here.

MacBook pro, 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB, OS X 10.11.6

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this won't be in Monday's beta build of Designer - it needs a couple of things looking at first rather than sending something out the door that we know isn't finished properly, but it's definitely on its way very soon :)
