Hey there peeps!

:D  :D  :D

I am so, so excited to share with you, my latest endeavour known as BAHOOCHIE! an eejits Card Game.

It's a great wee game for 2-4 players based on the Top Trumps format but with a twist! Beware the BAHOOCHIE! It can change the game.

Of course, everything I created for the game was done in Affinity Designer, from the eejits, the card designs, the lettering, everything. Symbols was a great addition to AD that helped loads, so were artboards. You should see the single file I created for all the cards. Artboards everywhere!!

Anyhoo....

I have launched the game on KickStarter to try and raise the funds to cover the printing and custom tuck boxes. I would love your support and help in achieving the goal. Here's the link to BAHOOCHIE - an eejits card game on Kickstarter. All will be explained when you head on over there.

Cheers guys and gals,

George

(I'm just a wee bit excited!)

Best of luck on this. Great idea and art to match!

I encourage kids to go ahead and play on my lawn. I mean, how else can I make sure the death-traps work?

Great to see the progress. Was thinking of creating a Kickstarter myself to get the books officially up and running. I've seen some nice success stories on there and it certainly would help get me to the place I need.

Well Done!

Ohh, there it is the famous haggis animal. But shouldn't it have the right legs longer than the left ones, so it has an easier time standing on the steep hills of the highlands. (that's what I heard, at least ;P)

jokes aside: I love your art style. Looks crisp and funny. Reminds me a little of a former kickstarter cardgame i backed about a year ago: What the Food?!

Great work, eejits!

Of course, you're right but this is a juvenile version who hasn't fully developed it's legs yet.

Thanks for the compliments. Grateful that you've taken the tim eout to have a look and comment.

Cheers,

George

Haha, of course I overlooked the juvenile status of the creature. :D

btw: I'd backed your game if this freakin kickstarter form would let me enter a proper credit card number. *rant*

I hope I can get that problem solved in time with the support from kickstarter.

I was finally able to get that backing done.

More Designer work!

The last thing I had to do for the game was create/design the custom tuck box that the game comes in. So without further ado, here's the box in all it's eejits glory!

Whaddya think?  :D

Cheers,

George

Hi George

It looks fancy and very well fitting. And I like the little jokes here and there.

The only thing I must complain is the lack of the blue-green tartan of the MacKay's as the background pattern. ;P

Very well done! Can't wait to get my copies! :)

Thanks for the feedback JokeRat! Yeah, I did tinker with having tartan in the design but it just looked twee and shortbread biscuit tin looking. Not for me. Hopefully people won't mind the lack o' tartan!

Cheers!

tbh I think it's the right decision to keep the tartan out as it looks slick an neat like this. The tartan would probably be too much.

And there are already a lot of scottish references in the game. so you're good. ;)

Still looking for backers!

We're inching ever closer to the end date, with still a wee bit to go. I'd love to get this game funded and in your hands. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks guys,

George

Yeah.... used a whole barrel of midnight oil (well, it was really up-early-before-work-every-day oil)

Thanks for the comments Peter. I'm delighted to say that the Kickstarter for BAHOOCHIE fully funded @ 112% Absolutely over the moon with the support from people all over the interwebs.  :D  :D  :D

Now the hard work begins, fulfilling all the orders, creating the rewards and then moving on to try and get the game into retail!! I look forward and am very grateful for the challenge!

Cheers,

George
