Staff MEB Posted October 27, 2014 Staff Share Posted October 27, 2014 Are you sure you didn't change the color of the layer where those objects belong? Select the object(s) with the yellow bounding box. Check the layer they belong to. Right-click on that layer and check the color associated with it. Staff MattP Posted October 28, 2014 Staff Share Posted October 28, 2014 Peter, are you seeing an orange highlight around the curves of the object you've got selected? If so, have you got a text (or shape) object in your selection and are you in the Node Tool? If so, that's deliberately trying to show you the outline of the object, but make you realise it's not editable yet. You need to convert it to curves before the Node Tool will allow you to move the points. Sorry if that's not the solution. If you still have this problem, please just email the file to support@seriflabs.com and we'll tell you what's going on :) Thanks, Matt
Staff MEB Posted October 28, 2014 Staff Share Posted October 28, 2014 Matt, seems there's a small inconsistency here (v1.0.19988) - If you select a non converted shape or text with the Pen Tool it does show in orange - If you select a non converted shape or text with the Node Tool only the text shows in orange. Shouldn't the non converted shape show equally in orange? It wasn't something I right-clicked on...until now. Seems like a very handy feature after all. Node tool select shows orange bounding box. Staff MEB Posted October 29, 2014 Staff Share Posted October 29, 2014 peter, Maybe you have copied the object or the containing layer from other document or file you've downloaded on the forum. Affinity Designer retains the object/layer's color from one document to another.
