In AP with the Flood Select Tool,  try using the Control key. If you use the Selection Brush Tool, it automatically defaults to ADD. If you use one of the Marquee Selection Tools then you have to manually click the Add button in the context toolbar.

When providing recordings, please show the complete application window, so we can see the tools you're using, Context Toolbar options, and the Status Bar.

taht's normal expectation of adding things

No, it's not.

Normally the SHIFT modifier key expands a selection, for example of objects or text, in all sorts of apps, and for pixel selection in certain apps, right?

It's just Affinity pixel selection, which ignores SHIFT and requires a button pressed instead.

To add things I’m used to press the cmd key and click on the items I want to add. The shift key is to set an end point to a list or row of characters for example. Or to maintain straight lines when drawing or moving.
in this case of adding a selection I would expect to use the alt key to toggle add-mode. In the selection brush, shape selections and the free hand selection alt toggles between add and substract. I don’t know why it is different in the auto-selection.

I use all keys, noone works. If you select more text, use Shift if select more picture, mora milas to delete, you use Shift in Indesign or affinity with Shift select more object so is logical to to expect add selection, tah is logic of user in all application also in photoshop

Well well, this is right answer.  add what , and how did you try, this combine two object, are you sirious? All other programs has shift to add and  affinity is so innovative to give us that solution?

I have the impression that you are very dissatisfied using Affinity Photo and having a hard time adjusting your habits. I see you aren’t posting in the feedback forum in a constructive way but still keep complaining that other apps are apps are much better in a rude and unfriendly way. This doesn’t help anyone. IMHO it would be better for you to use those apps which you keep referencing as superior for your way of doing work. That would make more sense. I’m sure you would be happier and enjoy your work more.
