Ldina
I created this beach scene in Designer. I'm not much of an artist and rarely do anything of this sort, but wanted to at least give it a try and see what I could do. Any constructive suggestions on how to make it better would be much appreciated. GarryP
That looks really nice and is evocative of posters from the 1880’s to the 1930’s, the first ‘Golden Age of Travel’. Lovely stuff.
henryanthony
@Ldina I don't know how to make this better but, I will recommend you just keep doing what you are doing. Great work! Ldina
@GarryP @henryanthony Thanks for the encouragement. I'm not totally happy with this creation, but it's a start...just need to take your advice and keep working at it. I seem to do better with hard objects and reality, but you have to start somewhere!! I looked at it in B&W and it seemed rather low contrast, so I tried adding some extra contrast and darkness to see if that improved it. ☺️ Quote 2024 MacBook Pro M4 Max, 48GB, 1TB SSD, Sequoia OS, Affinity Photo/Designer/Publisher v1 & v2, Adobe CS6 Extended, LightRoom v6, Blender, InkScape, Dell 30" Monitor, Canon PRO-100 Printer, i1 Spectrophotometer, i1Publish, Wacom Intuos 4 PTK-640 graphics tablet
carl123
That's the sort of image I would hang on my wall (if I had any space left). Beach scenes always remind me of my childhood when we got to visit a beach twice a year but the ones we went to were a bit more chaotic henryanthony, Ldina, Sitaara and 4 others 2 5 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. Ldina
@carl123 I laughed out loud at your 'enhancements', which were perfect! They definitely add interest...I particularly liked the 'mushroom cloud' in the distance. You must have had quite some childhood! 😳😁 Quote 2024 MacBook Pro M4 Max, 48GB, 1TB SSD, Sequoia OS, Affinity Photo/Designer/Publisher v1 & v2, Adobe CS6 Extended, LightRoom v6, Blender, InkScape, Dell 30" Monitor, Canon PRO-100 Printer, i1 Spectrophotometer, i1Publish, Wacom Intuos 4 PTK-640 graphics tablet
henryanthony
This is a good example of illustrating the ages old question “When does an artist consider a work of art to be done”. Only the artist can answer that. IMHO. Quote Affinity Photo and Design V1. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Dell Precision 7710 laptop. Intel Core i7. RAM 32GB. NVIDIA Quadro M4000M.
