  1. Canva will not kill Affinity because Affinity is not a competitor of Canva. It would make no sense. It would make sense for Adobe to kill Affinity but why bother. Adobe is the industry standard and that will not change. What will probably happen is V3 will be released with AI included to try to entice current Affinity users to get on board the Canva train and make some quick money.
  2. LOL! I still have Adobe CS2 on my XP machine! If worse comes to worse...
  3. Glad I got in when I did. V1 is a great program, IMHO. It does everything I need it for - currently - and is pretty stable. I have found a few non-fatal bugs but have managed to work around them. V2 is too buggy for my taste. Never had any intention to upgrade. Hopefully Canva will stand by the promise to use in perpetuity. Thanks to all who have helped me here on the forum!
  4. @albertkinng Fonts can be wonky. Have you tried different fonts and got the same result? Just a thought. Or, convert the font to outlines? Not sure if that is possible with Affinity or if this would conflict with the objective of this project. I don't work much with fonts these days.
  5. @Aust15 Hi! Are you familiar with Windows File Explorer? It allows you to search your computer or any folder for specific file extensions and other criteria. In the case of my attached screen shot, I was searching for .afphoto files in a folder named "Color". It should help you find any "afdesign" files on your system.
  6. If you can open the UV maps in Affinity, you should be able to edit and save them to an appropriate file format for Second Life and then upload to Second Life. You need to research Second Life to determine file format, size, etc. There is probably a wealth of information to be found online and on YouTube.
  7. @504Krayons Here is a link to a thread about drawing tablets.
  8. @Charles Harris Could you please provide a screen shot of the corrected screen? Please show the gradient as in the previous screen shots you provided. I've been following this and am curious because I have some similar issues. Thanks!
  9. @Bart Prinsen Hi Bart! DaVinci Resolve 18, Blender and Unreal Engine provide free video editors.
  10. If the checked background was intentional is it not reasonable to assume that it would appear enlarged under the magnifying glass? But, it seems it was intentional because how do you even save the checked transparency background as part of an image? A screen shot is all I can think of and that is not a good way to sell images.
  11. Brilliant! Captures the mood of the day. Reminds me of Big Daddy Ed Roth from back in the day.
  12. @leminilab wrote: "Why is there such a big difference between the Blender viewer and the .exr file when opened in AP?" I can only guess that the Blender viewer image is a composite image of everything in the scene and the .exr you are viewing in AP is but one channel of a multi-channel .exr file that contains all the rendering passes used to create the image. Have you checked out blenderartists.org ? Seems to be a pretty decent group plus you might find some helpful articles using search.
