awakenedbyowls Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 It seems (on the Windows version anyway) that in Designer when I duplicate a Pixel Brush rather than just dropping the new duplicate brush immediately below the one I'm copying (which would make more sense to me so far as work flow goes) the software seems to plonk it above or as it's doing now above and one brush from the top of the category - not even the top just the second one down for some strange reason So every time I duplicate a brush to adjust the settings so that I have a linear flow of brushes I have to scroll up and move the new brush back down to one below and it's getting to be tiresome Can the software not just do the logical thing and drop it down one below - that would word better with my work flow ? Frozen Death Knight Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 @awakenedbyowls Which version are you using? I tried it on Windows 10 in both 2.4 and 2.5 Beta and duplicating puts the brush just below the one I copied. If you're still having issues, you could also try to use alt+L click drag to duplicate a brush, which will put the copy wherever you drop it on the list. Quote
awakenedbyowls Posted May 4, 2024 Author Posted May 4, 2024 Whatever the latest version is is what I'm using It's also when I select objects using V or A it selects a completely different layer - usually the same one each time - and this is making it very difficult for me to get a work flow going (that's on iPad though) 2 hours ago, Frozen Death Knight said: If you're still having issues, you could also try to use alt+L click drag to duplicate a brush, which will put the copy wherever you drop it on the list. Yeah that works although I thought you meant the L key not the mouse at first Quote

Just easier to write it shortened! It was an issue in V1 if I recall that got improved some time for V2. You might have to make a bug report if it doesn't work for you with a video/GIF attached, since it's not supposed to do that anymore. Quote
awakenedbyowls Posted May 4, 2024 Author Posted May 4, 2024 Raised it here with a video - maybe it can be moved to the bug section with this Quote

That makes it very difficult to discuss or track. This one you just included does not seem related to your issue with brush duplication, at all. Yeah well I'm still waiting for a response about it And it might be related ? It a similar type of issue with things not going where they are supposed or the wrong thing being highlighted The summary of the problem I created this thread to discuss is explained thoroughly in the original post with no deviation Stop trying to police my way of posting Quote
Staff Lee D Posted May 7, 2024 Staff Posted May 7, 2024 @awakenedbyowls In regards to your feedback on the Brushes panel, I'm seeing the same as @Frozen Death Knight when duplicating a brush, it then appears below the one I duplicated. Are you using one of the default brush categories, a custom one or perhaps one of the collections from our Store? Quote
awakenedbyowls Posted May 8, 2024 Author Posted May 8, 2024 It's happening with custom brush sets I'm making I think it might have something to do with duplicating duplicates - dragging them elsewhere and then duplicating them again like I tend work down the list chronologically so often I'll duplicate a previous brush and drag it down to the bottom and then when I duplicate that it seems to jump back up the list somewhere - maybe to below the original brush all duplicate brushes originated from I'm not sure - then it can be hard to find among the longish list of brushes all called the same thing +number I'm about to sign out the windows version for a couple of weeks so I'll be iPad only until I can keep an eye on this again Quote

Your off-topic posts are (as you’ve stated) about the wrong thing being highlighted. Giving each topic its own thread will be beneficial not only to other users but ultimately to you, too. awakenedbyowls Posted May 8, 2024 Author Posted May 8, 2024 Give it a rest - seriously Every time I come on here someone's like.. oh but you should post threads this way If I want to go off on a slight tangent because I feel its might be related or whatever then I will I write concise threads and posts with easy to understand grammar I know how forums work 1 hour ago, Alfred said: In that case, create a separate topic and link it to this one. Why don't you create a separate thread for winging about how other folk post since there is nothing ON-TOPIC about your post above and it's just distracting from discussing the issues I'm raising Quote
