Old Bruce Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 The new beta 2.4.0 [2279] will now not show if a Symbol is synced or not in both light or dark User Interface on Mac OS 12.7.3. To trigger this I notice that if I switch from Dark to light and back again the highlighting will not show in the Dark Interface as well as the Light Interface. But the button works, I am just having to guess. It was bad enough that the light interface was broken but now with both Interface colours being broken makes this syncing effectively useless. Please fix this. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.5.7 | Affinity Photo 2.5.7 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.7 | Beta versions as they appear. Hangman Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 Good catch... It's not specific to the 2.4.0 2279 Beta, I see the same behaviour in the 2.3.1 Retail version, both require a reboot for the Sync button active state to become visible again... This has been previously reported and logged as a bug and I'm not aware that we've seen a fix for it as yet... Staff Sean P Posted February 15, 2024 Staff Posted February 15, 2024 Hi Old Bruce, Thanks for letting us know. As Hangman has mentioned this is something we're aware of and have logged, and as you say only happens if you switch UI. Restarting the app will fix the button however. Quote
Staff Affinity Info Bot Posted February 15, 2024 Staff Posted February 15, 2024 An issue raised in this thread ("MacOS when switching between Dark and Light mode the symbol Sync button does not show if it is selected") has now been reported to the developers by the testing team (Ref: AF-747). Old Bruce Posted February 29, 2024 Author Posted February 29, 2024 As near as I can tell the new version for retail (2.4.0) has fixed this. Many thanks people. To test it, I just switched from dark to light, and I see no Sync state whatsoever: Same when switching back. It only gets fixed via app relaunch.
