Frozen Death Knight Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Title is pretty self-explanatory. Macros would be overall more useful if keybinds were possible. nodeus, loukash and purvistv 3 Quote
purvistv Posted November 20, 2023 Posted November 20, 2023 YES! This is an absolute MUST HAVE feature! I bought all three v1.0+ Affinity products, but I will not upgrade to v2.x or beyond until at least Affinity Photo has this feature. When I was an entertainment press photographer using Photoshop, I would edit hundreds of photos per day, and my workflow was highly dependent on the ability to assign an action/macro to a set of keyboard shortcuts. I got very proficient/fast at quickly eyeballing a photo to see what it needed (brightness adjustments, color temp change, etc), and within seconds I could apply adjustments with the keyboard shortcuts alone, without even touching the mouse! This is the #1 feature that is sorely lacking in Affinity Photo. Quote

It's possible that macro keyboard shortcuts will come in the free V2 updates and also scripting (which we know they are working on) but there is no guarantee on any of that. It's a bit of a gamble but V2 also has lots of additional features, bug fixes etc that it may be worth upgrading now to get the discount rather than missing out and then find they add the shortcuts in the next free update for V2 users and you have to pay the full price at that point in time. https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/store/upgrade-offer/ Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. carl123 Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 All I know is that's the price listed (at the link above/below) for V1 users to upgrade to the V2 Universal Licence https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/store/upgrade-offer/ What confuses me is if V1 users only need one V1 product to qualify for the V2 Universal Licence offer or if they need all 3 of the V1 products (APhoto, Designer, Publisher) walt.farrell 1 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. (I know someone who has only purchased AD for iPad, but is now considering getting the Universal Licence.) But they do need to have registered their purchase into their Affinity Store account, which is otherwise optional.
