Enzi Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Hi, I'm using Affinity Publisher v2.2.1 on Windows 10 I have a 2 icons, which I created as symbols in the Designer persona and placed as inline images in a text frame on a master page they are symbols because they will be used throughout the document, as inline text images mostly they are symbols so that I can update them all at once if necessary When this master page is applied to a page, the text frame and its text content gets applied – but the inline images not. they are missing in the Layers panel on the regular page A similar issue happens when I try to copy/paste the text frame with Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V (on the master page): the text gets copied, but the images won't. Alt+clicking+dragging the text frame will correctly copy it, including inline images Ctrl+J of the text frame layer in the Layers panel will also correctly copy including inline images Since a direct copy doesn't work depending on how the copy is made, I believe this is a bug. My primary concern is the master page, guess I have to manually fiddle with the text and non-inline images to get the same result :( This shows the text frame on the master page, demonstrating the 2 images nested under the text frame in Layers panel resp. the Inline settings of the Pinning panel Martin Kulhanek 1 Quote

Enzi Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 Oh, sorry for the duplicated report then. I did search before I wrote this, but apparently used the wrong keywords or just missed it. Guess I'll place my icons manually for now Hangman 1 Quote

Quedlinga Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 When is this bug planned to resolve? I have to deal with it really hard with a larger, monthly printed Project. I've just been really disapponted, when I saw this bug in V2.3 again. Quote
felixat Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 I also just came across this bug, it is still present in 2.4.2 Is there a chance of getting this fixed soon? Thank you. bbrother 1 Quote

Thank you. I had also recently to face with it (APub 2.4.2) when making a page footer for a long publication and was pissed off that this bug still exist. Fix it finally, how long do we have to wait!? Quote
JimY Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 I also have been experiencing this. Inline graphics seem to be a problem in general. Not just on master pages. I have been converting Adobe idml files and have found multiple issues with inline graphics being blown up to enormous sizes and no solution to fix it. Quote

That sounds like a different problem, JimY, and I would recommend you start your own topic here in the Bugs forum (in the Windows or macOS section as appropriate), so it can be properly investigated. It's about transferability of inline graphics. From Master pages to regular pages, copy-pasting it, importing from idml files — all of these have similar issues. Quote

The problem for this topic is specific to Master Pages. The new report is about other situations. That will make it a different bug, from my understanding of how Serif looks at such things. And in similar cases, the Serif staff have requested new topics from users who are not reporting identical issues.
