PeterB. Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 Hi, I used pinned lines on a master page to represent lines next to my page numbers. The problem is that these lines just randomly disappear on the normal pages. It doesn't help if you delete the assigned master page and then reassign it, the lines remain missing without a trace. I have attached a file where the phenomenon occurs (at least for me) on pages 1, 6-7 and 44. I would appreciate it if someone had time to download the document and test whether the problem isn't just affecting me Thank you! pinned objects missing.afpub Martin Kulhanek 1 Quote
Staff NathanC Posted November 10, 2023 Staff Posted November 10, 2023 Hey @PeterB., This is a known issue with pinned/inline objects from a master page currently logged with the developers, the initial application of the master page to a spread (e.g using 'default master' on a new document) will correctly show the pinned object on the page from the master, but any subsequent application of the master or clearing and then re-applying a master page will fail to apply add master page pinned object on that page/spread, which will likely explain why it's missing on a few random page ranges in your doc if they had a master re-applied. I've bumped the existing issue with your report. PeterB. 1 Quote
PeterB. Posted November 10, 2023 Author Posted November 10, 2023 Thanks! Is there actually a list of known bugs somewhere? Then I could always look there before I post something... Quote

Alexandre Paes Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 Please bump this up further as it's a severe limitation for really dynamic layout design for publications and reports. I know there are all this amazing features being added constantly but fixing detected issues should also be a focus area, this has been reported one year ago and using the latest version of Publisher the issue is still present even though there were already several updates to the application this year. PeterB. Posted October 31, 2024 Author Posted October 31, 2024 @Alexandre Paes I'm afraid that's a waste of time. Fixing bugs seems to be Serif's lowest priority. If you have to rely on the software, there's currently no alternative to Adobe. I'm now paying for Creative Cloud again and using it for my new projects because I'm fed up with bugs in the Affinity Suite never being fixed and sometimes simply being ignored for years. Quote
Qubitza Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 Hi @Alexandre Paes I'm also facing this issue and would be glad if it will be fixed. Tahnk you. PeterB. 1 Quote
Staff Affinity Info Bot Posted November 26, 2024 Staff Posted November 26, 2024 The issue "Applying Master Page with Pinned object does not include Pinned object on applied Page" (REF: AF-1144) has been fixed by the developers in the latest beta build (2.6.0.2900). The fix is planned for inclusion in the next customer release. Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions. If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Affinity Info Bot to notify us. Quote
