walt.farrell Posted November 11, 2023 Share Posted November 11, 2023 I've noticed that none of my 2.3.0.2114 MSIX-based Affinity applications will close completely on my Win 11 laptop. Instead, the UI disappears but Task Manager shows them active as background tasks, where they consume > 20% CPU indefinitely (or, at least, as long as I've felt like letting them sit there). This happens with only one of the applications open, or with multiples. I have checked with the Account dialog and there doesn't seem to be any content installation activities ongoing. It happens with documents open, or not. It's going to turn out to be something specific to my system, or to the number of raster brushes I have installed, I think. It does eventually close, as it turns out, after spending (I think) about 6 minutes reading/writing raster_brushes.propcol. I've been providing various information (dumps, process monitor logs, IPC logs, my .propcol file, etc.) to the Serif team to help diagnose it. This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release. Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions. If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
