Yes we know, it has been changed (on internal builds), just not in an updated beta build as yet. There should be an updated beta available later this week which has this change in.

I just tried using the Groups option on Vector Layers and found out that it is not possible to select them. Personally I see these types of containers as another form of grouping, so to me they should behave the same as Group Layers when using this Move Tool functionality.

PLEASE ENABLE THIS AT PENCIL TOOL

Its really difficult to draw freehand when the auto-selection of the nodes of the shapes is on, like is the default on Affinity Designer.
I usually try to draw freehand since its part of my work, but with this behavior of the pencil tool it becomes too counter intuitive. Too annoying to use it. Then I'm obligated to go to other program.

Please enable this Auto Selection Toggle into the PENCIL TOOL!

It needs to be moved elsewhere.

This should be sorted in the latest update if you want to give it a go...

The issue "Auto-Select Groups Failing to Cycle Through the Complete Layer Stack" (REF: PD-464) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.1.0.1732".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.

First of all the auto select drop down in move tool which was added to Affinity Photo in V2 has now been added to both Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher, as requested numerous times from customers.

Does disabling Auto Select also mean that when an object/layer is deleted, the Designer App won't automatically select another random object/layer?

Maybe you should uncheck Preferences > General > Prefer to keep selection after delete ... if this option is checked for you.

Thanks @joe_l, that's exactly what I was looking for.

It would be great if this option was available in the iOS version too. I've started a new topic here requesting it:

Hi guys!

Can we save the option that I chose? When that I restart AP I have to change the option that I prefer, in this case "Layer".

Do we have some type of "player prefers"?

Thanks!
