Can’t login with my Affinity Account on iPad using Affinity Designer 2

Hi, guys. Hope you all doing good.

I’m having this issue using Affinity Designer 2 on my iPad: sometimes when I opened, a screen appears to give me the option to login with Affinity Account, but I hitted the button SIGN IN after I put my email and password, but nothing happen. No second screen, nothing. No matter how many times I press the SIGN IN button, nothing happen.

When I decide to go back back it says that I’m already signed, but when I try to hit the Account button, it seems like I never was signed in. At the end: still can’t login with my Affinity Account and don’t really know if it’s useful in any way. It’s just me trying.

I left a video here for more detailed description of the issue (*just keep noticed that iPad automatically hide the password input field for security reasons but its there, trust me).

Designer version and iPad version also attached.

Hi leooosalinas, sorry to hear you are having trouble. Have you tried logging into your account via Safari? Maybe that would help.

Thank you for your advice. I just did (Chrome and Safari) but doesn’t affect at all. This login screen is from the app itself.

Apologies but I’m not sure if you mean can log into account with Safari/Chrome or not?

Also, it’s the Affinity Store account details not the Affinity forum account details that you will need to use.

The app has slightly different behaviour if it detects an in-app purchase (to allow you to register against an Affinity ID) or a licence via an Affinity ID. I've checked your details and can see your purchase has been registered to your Affinity ID so you licence the app by just signing into your Affinity ID.


Could you try the following for me please:

  1. Ensure the app is closed down fully (by swiping up on the app selection screen)
  2. Start the app up and double tap on the splash screen
  3. You should see 'Clear user data' screen appear
  4. Tap on the 'De-activate Affinity 2 apps' slider at the bottom of the second column and select 'Reset'
  5. Under 'Already Purchased?' click 'Activate'
  6. Sign in with your Affinity ID
  7. You should see a 'Activation Successful' screen - click on 'Yes Please link my app to my account'

Your application should now be licensed, and any content you have on your Affinity account should be accessible from the right hand side of the dialog.

The issue "You're asked to register a purchase after registering a purchase when going into account" (REF: HUB-232) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.1.0.1703/5".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.

I think you may need to give a few more details. Going on your previous posts you have already purchased some Affinity software, what exactly are you trying to do now?
