walt.farrell Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Note 1: This applies to both Designer and Photo, and both V1 and V2, on Windows. As mentioned in the thread linked below, on Mac both Designer and Photo have the ability to convert objects to Image Resources in their Mac versions. On Windows, though, this capability is only part of Publisher. As Designer and Photo can do it on Mac, the missing capability on Windows seems like a bug. Note 2: Also, I noticed that the right-click context menu in Photo 2 on Windows has Convert to Curves and Convert to Text Frame, but the Layer menu has Convert to Curves and Convert to Text Path. Please check that inconsistency, too. Staff NathanC Posted January 25, 2023 Staff Posted January 25, 2023 Hi @walt.farrell, Good catch, i've logged both of these inconsistencies with the developers, many thanks. walt.farrell 1 Quote
Josip Buhin Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Is this ever going to be resolved? I am having issues creating a macro because i have to copy an paste special to convert from pixel to image in affinity photo, and copy paste does not seem to work properly in macros. This bug seems pretty old and it seems that this should be an easy fix as publisher does this through context menu... Is there any other way to convert pixel to image in AFPhoto that would work in macro? Quote

If you also have Publisher... Run Publisher Switch to Photo Persona (via studiolink) Start Macro recording Select pixel layer Switch to Publisher Persona (via studiolink) Use Layer > Convert to Image Resource Switch to Photo Persona (via studiolink) You will see that the macro has recorded that command and you now have an image layer Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. PaulEC Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Although there easy workarounds, I can't help feeling that "Convert to Image Resource" should be included in Designer and Photo as well as in Publisher, for both convenience and consistency. It's one of a number of "bugs" (well, it bugs me!) that should be comparatively easy to fix: it's already in APub, just add it to the other two apps.
